Geraldo Rivera Makes Massive Admission About Fox News - Gutfeld Owns Him

Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Zabia for Explain America and Geraldo Rivera

just made a startling admission about Fox News that has got to send Greg Gutfeld and

the others at the network kind of aback a little bit. Before we get started, please make sure you like, comment, share and subscribe

So Geraldo Rivera gave an interview to Mediite. If you don't know what Mediite is, it's a left of center, I would call it, news agency

that reports on things that are happening in the media. So it reports on what happened on a show or what a host did or something like that

It does media reporting. Well, he gave an interview to them because he can't shut up

He's given an interview to The View. He gave an interview to Chris Cuomo. He's giving interviews to anybody who will listen to him tell his tale of woe about Fox News

But in this interview, he actually admitted something that I think, you know, was important

for him to admit even to himself. So as you know, Greg Gutfeld and him apparently got into a lot of confrontations

Now Geraldo is admitting that Greg Gutfeld was the person he was talking about and he

would complain that Fox News always took Greg's side and he would get suspended and he would

have to take days off, meaning Geraldo would. Well, Greg Gutfeld hit back at him during a Fox News show in July after Geraldo made

these accusations on The View but never mentioned the host by name

Well, Greg ended the speculation when he said the host basically, he didn't say it, but

he insinuated the host was him and he took his shots at Geraldo

Well now Geraldo talks to Mediite and he says that in his opinion, Fox News made the right

decision by firing him. And he said you can see it in the ratings

He said the ratings for the show are actually getting higher with him off the show

He said it was a pragmatic business decision and they made the correct one

I was stunned that he would say that. But he also said that, you know, he felt that he stayed at the network too long, that he

only wanted to go there to cover the Iraq war and that he just stayed longer because

he was afraid of where he would wind up if he left. Now it's kind of weird to me because Geraldo's pretty rich

So maybe you could land on retirement. You don't have to work anymore

You're rich. That being said, he also used the opportunity to take a shot at another former Fox News

host, Tucker Carlson. And what he said was he's still angry about how Tucker Carlson handled the January 6th

reporting on his show. He didn't like the insinuations that Carlson had made about federal agents

He said there was no basis in fact for them. He said it was shameful and that he would never forgive Tucker for doing it

And I'm sure Tucker lays awake at night every night worrying about if Geraldo is going to

forgive him for it. But he said he'll never forgive him for it and that he damaged journalism by doing what

he did. He's a guy that made a media spectacle of opening Al Capone's vault to find nothing

promoted it for weeks, months, had television cameras there, lights, the whole spectacle

opened it and found nothing. But he's worried about media spectacles. This is a guy who ran his own show, who had a member of the Ku Klux Klan supposedly hit

him in the face with a chair during a live show, broke his nose

But he's worried that Tucker Carlson has made a mockery of journalism

You can't write this stuff. In one part he has self-awareness in the interview saying that the Five and Fox News made the

right decision. And in the other part there's like no self-awareness. So it's kind of hard to see where he's at here
