Fox News Reporter Trapped In Disaster Zone - Sends Urgent Message

Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America and a Fox News reporter

just sent a dire message in the middle of a disaster zone where one person has already

been reported dead and 73,000 others are trapped along with this reporter

This Fox News reporter was reporting live from the scene of the Burning Man festival

If you don't know what the Burning Man festival is, frankly, I'm not that familiar with it

myself, but apparently they all get together, they make a giant man, they burn it, it's

a big hippie convention basically, it's like Woodstock but for artists. Anyway, they get to the Nevada desert and rain happens in the Nevada desert and I mean

a lot of rain. Where they are flooded in, the gates to get in and out are both closed and there are some

reports of something even worse that I'm going to get to right after we look at her report

Further details have been given about the circumstances of that death just yet

Meanwhile 73,000 Burning Man attendees are ordered to shelter in place after torrential

rains reduced the Nevada venue into what you're seeing here, a muddy pit

The camps of the festival, which held in usually dry Black Rock desert, got pummeled

by the hours long rainstorm Friday. The roads have been closed down because of the sludge in the roads until further notice

The Twitter account Burning Man Traffic writing quote, the gate and airport in and out of

Black Rock City remain closed. Ingress and egress are halted until further notice

No driving is permitted except emergency vehicles. If you are in BRC, conserve food and water and shelter in a warm space

Attendees are hunkering down this morning together including celebrities. Video shows DJ Diplo and actor Chris Rock

They're hitching a ride with other party goers after walking five miles in the mud

Our own Claudia Cowan is at the festival and had this to say

The camps are hunkering down. We're supporting each other. We're making sure our neighbors have enough food and water and blankets

And we're still finding fun. Just a different kind of fun. It's not so much art, cars and parties, but really connecting with each other

And that's part of the burner spirit too. So we're going to get through this. It's certainly a Burning Man to remember

They certainly will remember that more rain is in the forecast for the area today

But the good news, sunshine is expected to return tomorrow. So let's hope for that

disease but I'm not going to name it here because it's just speculation at this point

But there's some kind of disease that's making people very, very sick and it's spreading

amongst the people. And now people are getting concerned to quarantine this place

You can Google online what this disease may be. I'm not going to make speculation here without any solid concrete proof

You have a situation where you have a commune full of hippies essentially and they're doing

in my opinion, what is ritual mock sacrifice. And then floods and plagues happen

So I don't want to cast aspersions at what that could be or what the reason for that

could be. I don't know. I can't speak to that. But you can draw your own conclusions

I would like to know what you think about this story here. I also want to tell you that Chris Rock was there along with a DJ named Diplo

He's a famous DJ. And Chris Rock and Diplo managed to get out of there safely in the back of a pickup truck

of one of the fans. That's the only celebrities we know of that were there

But usually there's a lot of celebrities there so we haven't heard much about that yet
