Chaos On 'The View' As Whoopi Goldberg Gets Into Heated Argument With Producer During Live Show

Hey folks, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America, and I think it's safe to say that

we all know Whoopi Goldberg is, well, not the sharpest tool in the shed, is she

She continuously gets into heated arguments and debates on her show, The View, which appears

on ABC daytime television, but this time she got into a fight with the producer of the

show over another show that appears on ABC. So you think about it, she's trying to promote ABC, obviously, because, you know, that's

who signs her paycheck. At the same time, she says that a show that appears on ABC is literally the beginning

of the downfall of society. The show she's talking about is American Idol, and she goes on to say that she was trying

to throw shade at Fox, but there's something really interesting about this clip that's

not said, and I'm going to go ahead and show you the clip, and then tell you about it after

She couldn't, she didn't get the help she needed. So you never know, but I think, you know, that we as a society love to watch stuff to

judge folks. Yes. That's right, you know, I've always thought that the beginning of the downfall of society

was with, what's the name of that show? I'll always tell you that

ABC's American Idol? Well... No. No. It was not always on ABC. No. No

When it began, it was on another network. You think the downfall of American society was American Idol

Began with, and I'm going to tell you why. Because once we gave people the ability to judge other people, I think we ran amok with

it, and it's gone out of control. They had them before that

You remember the gong show? Yeah, but I don't remember so many people being able to do that

There were judges sitting there. But these, you know, they invited the public to decide who that person was

And I feel once we did that, it began us in a cycle, which we have not..

Did you really just do that? No, well, the thing is that, we talk about this, it's gotten better, and you like it now. Remember

You like it. ABC, she likes it. ABC, she likes it. ABC

Well, no, but again, when I was watching it, ABC didn't have it

They have it now. It's a different show. It is more popular. It's a very different show

The judges are different with the people who are coming, but when it first began, it was

a very different... It was a phenomenon. You invited the public in. Yes

And now there are other shows like that. And I changed. And ABC knows that I feel like this

I've told them. It had nothing to do with them. It had to do with the show. It was like the Simon Cowell era, right? Yes

It's hard to stop, man. We'll be right back. Now, if she wants to talk about judging people and the downfall of civilized society, then

let's look at the view. What does this show do? Other than criticize people left, right, and center

No, no, I'm sorry. Just right. They just criticize people on the right, and they do it every single day of the week, five

days a week. They're off on weekends so they can gather up all their ammunition for whatever they're

going to attack on Monday. But to say that this was the downfall of society, American Idol, while you're trying to shade

Fox, while the show still appears on ABC, it's dumb on so many levels that it's hard

to actually put it into words. Whoopi, you critique people every single day

You still won't say Donald Trump's name. You call him the former guy, or you know who, like a child

Like a child. You sound like an imbecile. But you do it every time you have to quote mention him, which you won't mention him

But American Idol is the downfall of society. You ever hear of a show called The Gong Show

You ever hear of that show? Was that the beginning of the downfall of society

There have been competition shows forever. Forever. So let's stop. Let's stop with the hyperbole and let's stop attacking your own network who pays you

That to me is not only ridiculous, but dumb. They're paying you money and then you're arguing with the producer on live TV who looked like

a fool. Why would you do this? Doesn't make any sense. But hey look, I watch The View so you don't have to

I don't really watch it. I just catch the clips. But even that I do so you don't have to
