DNX News | ANTONINO NONOY PANIQUE wanted to be like Ramon Fernandez
ANTONINO "NONOY" PANIQUE wanted to be like Ramon Fernandez, the basketball great he deeply admired as a kid in the slums of Village 10, an urban poor community along the banks of Mambuloc Creek. That was his dream. Nonoy, however, has difficulty walking. One leg was defective since birth, the other shrunk by polio. "I am 5'6", 5'7" because I limp," he would jokingly reply when asked about his height. In this episode of DNX Conversations co-presented by Falcor Marketing and Portia's Store, Nonoy Panique, a candidate for director in District 5 of the Central Negros Electric Cooperative shares his life - from growing up as a differently-abled child selling his lola's home cooked meals to walking for kilometers every day just to go to school, and the hardships he faced that even made him decide at one point to commit suicide. | Shot and post-produced by Banjo C Hinolan, interview by Julius D Mariveles Originally Upload September 3, 2020 Don't forget to visit us at the following online assets Website: https://dnx.news Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DNXNews Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dnxnews Twitter: https://twitter.com/dnx_news Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.ph/dnxnews Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dnxnews
