Winter Wonderland Snowshoeing Adventure: Cabin in the Forest

In this video, we finally return to our off-grid log cabin after travelling North America in our van for 6 months. The cabin and our land has held up very well over the winter, and we are so happy to be cozy in our cabin. We arrived just at the right time, because the sap from the maple trees has just started flowing. We tap 29 trees and try making our first batch of maple syrup, but since we are not used to our new evaporator, we end up burning our syrup... twice! The final product is very dark and we're not sure if it's still safe to eat. But we will come back in the following days with better know-how and more determination!
