Hi, it's the Brooker That Gratitude Guy
0:06
Today I'm with my good friend Crystal Goodsell, who has two lovely children, and has had some
0:10
challenges in life. I met her at our church sometime recently, so I wanted to get Crystal's take on what
0:17
she's grateful for. So Crystal, what are you grateful for? I'm the most grateful for my faith
0:23
I'm just so thankful for the perspective that it provides for me
0:27
I think that the strength and hope that it gives me, I would never have alone
0:32
And so each day, we have the choice, what will our outlook or perspective be
0:37
And my faith is just that solid foundation that allows me to really see the good in life
0:44
and what I do have and not what I'm lacking. I unexpectedly became a widow about 15 months ago
0:52
My children were one and four at that time. And so it felt like my life fell apart
0:57
And so having your faith to focus on and provide again the strength that you just don't have
1:04
on your own is just amazing. I'm just unbelievably thankful for my relationship with Jesus
1:12
Excellent, excellent. And as Crystal mentions too, any time you deal with faith and, of course, gratitude
1:18
as well, we get to focus on what we have versus what we don't have. And as you heard from Crystal, she's had some very big challenges in her life, and a really
1:24
big one a year and a half ago when she lost her husband. So faith and gratitude together can really, really give you that urge to get up in the
1:32
morning and go forward because it can be very, very challenging. So excellent message from Crystal
1:37
Thank you so much. I'm the Brooker That Gratitude Guy with Crystal Goodsell, and we'll have another message tomorrow
