【E0001】Vocaloid, UTAU, Vtubers and the World of Synthesized Vocals - Part 1
🔔 Did you know that the first Vocaloid was actually Spanish? 🔔 Hey crowd, it’s Koma here to share my knowledge with you once again, but this time on vocaloids, UTAU, Vtubing and the world of synthesized vocals. When most people think of Vocaloid, the twin-tailed internet diva Hatsune Miku comes to mind. But Vocaloid is a lot more than just a single character, and it has a lot more versions, history and influence than just Miku's voice (Voiceroids, UTAU, etc). Infact, Miku didn't exist until Vocaloid 2, let alone the production of any of the others like Kaito, Meiko, Luka, or Len. The voice synthesizer software itself was what gave many artists a chance to add vocals to their music, and it eventually became its own sub-culture. Not only that, but it also spun off other efforts and sub-cultures like MikuMikuDance, Voiceroids, and UTAU. Surprisingly enough though, Vocaloid is still contained to a niche community in the west when compared to Japan, even if the Vocaloid software was originally released for English speaking producers. 👉 Don't forget to subscribe! 👈 🤯 Full Article: https://dereproject.com/discussion/vocaloid-utau-and-the-culture-of-synthesized-vocals-part-1/ 🐦 Twitter: https://twitter.com/dereproject 🎨 4koma: https://tapas.io/series/DereProject Beginning: 00:00 Intro: 01:07 Background: 1:16 What's Vocaloid?: 2:14 Vocaloid Software: 3:12 Singer in a Box: 4:22
