- 2 cups Gruyere cheese, grated
- 2 cups Emmental cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons kirsch (cherry brandy, optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Nutmeg to taste
- Crusty bread cubes (for dipping)
