How to crochet a Foundation Slip Stitch/ Chainless Foundation
The Foundation Chain or Chainless Foundation can be used to create a cord to be used for a belt or tie. Also, it is a great substitute for working slip stitches in a chain, and can be viewed as yet another option for an "i-cord." It creates a thicker foundation to start any crochet project. You can use any yarn weight and appropriate sized hook to practice.
