hello and welcome to Wine school with
0:01
Libby today we'll be explaining some
0:03
wine jargon so I'm going to head out and
0:05
talk to some City journalists what they
0:07
think mouth feel means I think it means
0:10
how the wine tastes how how gorgeous the
0:12
wine tastes in your mouth mouth filled
0:15
mouth F mouth feel oh I guess it's that
0:17
tanginess you get in the mouth or some
0:20
of that acidity or something which hits
0:22
the different parts of your tongue maybe
0:25
mouth feel gosh I've got no idea um is
0:29
it when you you swish it around when
0:31
your wine tas in when your mouth is full
0:33
of wine often for me yes um and if
0:37
drunk when you're very
0:39
drunk so mouth feel typically means the
0:42
sort of texture and weight that you have
0:44
in your mouth when it comes to weight
0:45
you can think full bodied is like full
0:47
fat milk medium bodied is semi- skimmed
0:49
and totally skimmed milk would be light
0:50
bodied and then you've got texture is it
0:52
grippy with tannins that drying
0:54
sensation in your mouth or does it slip
0:55
past is it quite slick basically it's
0:57
how it feels in your mouth
