The UK has been consumed by the news that the lives of 100,000 Afghans were put at risk by a data breach from a UK official. There has been a superinjunction on this story for years, with the government saying to keep those Afghans who supported British forces safe from the risk of torture or death. However, even now, the current defence secretary, John Healey, has said he is “unable to say for sure” whether or not anyone has been killed as a result of the leak.
