as most of the country is well aware, is Donald Trump's new announcement that he is going to ban

transgender people from joining the military. So when I first heard people talking about this

I thought it was just kind of one of his regular little rampages he likes to go on on Twitter

but when I actually saw the tweets, I was like, okay, this is super concerning. So first off

I'm not trans, so obviously this doesn't affect me directly, but I tend to stay away from political

discussion except when it's kind of really relevant, and now is one of the times that I

think people really need to speak out because there are so many young trans people in this

country who are seeing our leader come out and say things like that, and it completely

I mean, I would imagine as a gay person, like, if something like that was said against me

and the leader of our country was saying it on such a public platform

I would be really upset and really kind of feeling like my value is just not as much as a straight person

And I imagine there's a lot of trans people out there feeling that way now. And it really, really hurts me because I feel like we've made such progress as a country over the past few years

And now just our leader is saying things like this. It just doesn't make sense to me

And I know it kind of goes along with kind of the path that Trump has been leading

But if you look at his tweets a year ago, he promised to protect the LGBT community

And this is such a breach in that trust. And I don't know, it just has got me really, really upset and more upset than I think most

of the stuff he does, which I know that's kind of crazy. Like he does some crazy stuff. But a lot of it, I just think of like, oh, it's not going to go anywhere

You know it just going to be his crazy opinion that he going to fight for and is never going to actually come through Well this seems like a pretty big deal I mean I don know too much about how the legality of what he says like how quickly it can become
