Smoky Chipotle Air Fryer Tofu Recipe
Ingredients: 14 oz extra-firm tofu, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp chipotle powder, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tbsp cornstarch. Instructions: Press tofu to remove excess water by wrapping it in a clean towel and placing a heavy object on top for 20 minutes. Cut tofu into 1-inch cubes. In a bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, chipotle powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and salt to make a marinade. Add tofu cubes to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Sprinkle cornstarch over tofu and toss again until lightly coated. Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Place tofu in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring pieces don’t overlap. Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until crispy and golden. Remove from air fryer and serve hot. Optional: garnish with chopped cilantro or a squeeze of lime juice.
