show you how you can make the layout narrow in post pages in Generate Press Team

So as you can see that here I am using the Generate Press Theme and here I have not enabled

the sidebar in the post page. So if I want to narrow this width then how I can do that

So as you can see that if you narrow down the width then it will apply to all of the pages

like it will apply to home pages, about page, contact page. So you can change that layout width here in the container setting

Like you can reduce the width like this. Like you can reduce the width to like 830 pixel like this

But if you check the about page, then it will also reduce the layout width

So what if you want to reduce the layout width just for the block page not affecting the other pages

Then for that case you need to use the Generate Press Premium plugin

So here you will get elements features. So let me just show you how we can do that

So I will click on close here. Now I will go to the dashboard here

Now I will go to the appearance and I will click on Generate Press And here you will see this option Elements So make sure to activate this module in the Generate Press Premium Plugins Now here you will go to the Elements tab here

Now let's click on Add New Element. And here you will see an option Layout

So here these elements allow us to change the layout of any of the pages in our website

So let's click and create here. Now here you can see that you can enable content

content slash sidebar so it will show the both content and sidebar or you can enable left

sidebar and then in the right side you can show the content or you can remove the sidebar or

you can show the two side by side and in the between you can display the content or you can

place two sidebar in the left side so you will get a lot of options so here i will choose this option

no sidebar so it will remove this sidebar from my website so let me just open a page here

And you can see that there is no sidebar in this post page

So I will remove the sidebar and select the content no sidebar

Now let me just edit like narrow post page like this. Now let click on footer here and you can leave this as default and here you will see this option content width So let me just change it to 830 So as I have shown you that I have set the width to 1 pixel for all of the pages but

I want to narrow it down in the single post pages. So let's keep it around like 830 pixel

Now let's click on the display rule and I want to add it to all of the post pages

So I will click on post and I will select all posts

Now let's click on publish here. Now let's go to the post page and let's refresh this page

And as you can see that now the post page layout is narrow and we have reduced the width

to 830 pixel. So earlier there is 1200 pixel applied to the post page

Although you have removed the sidebar we can narrow down the width in the post page

And it will not affect to all of the pages like it will still showing the 1200 pixel width in the about page but in post page we have reduced

it to 830 pixel so here you can change the display rule suppose you want to add 830

pixel width to the about page then how you can do that so you can simply add another rule and you can select pages and here you can select the about pages

And as you can see that we have selected the about pages here. Now let's click on update

Now let's go to the about page and let me just refresh this page. And as you can see that we have narrowed down the about us page to 830 pixel

So in this way you can target any of the pages using this option

Press Premium plugins. And as you know that you will get very little options in the free version of Generate Press Theme

So if you want to use Generate Press Theme in your website then make sure to use the Generate Press Premium plugin

Otherwise you can consider other themes like Cadence Theme or block c theme where you will get a lot of features in the free version
