0:37
us correspondent special uh with Big
0:40
Rich Reynolds how you doing
0:43
hey I love these Christmas songs I just
0:46
love them I was um we' been talking
0:49
about Chris re's driving home for
0:51
Christmas because it's not one you know
0:53
about it it is not and I was a oh my
0:57
gosh I'm going to I'm just going to show
0:58
my show my superar today I mean it
1:01
wasn't a hit in the stakes was it if you
1:03
think it over you think it's over was
1:04
but that wasn't we heard it for the uh
1:07
my wife and I heard it for the first
1:08
time ever in the car uh on Friday and uh
1:13
we thought God this this song is going
1:15
on forever what is it like 12 13 minutes
1:17
maybe it's a half hour it's oh he
1:19
driving home for Christmas I'm driving
1:21
home I'm still driving I'm
1:23
driving and I go I looked at my wife I
1:25
go is this a real song or is this like a
1:27
gag song like like Grandma Got Run Over
1:31
by a Reindeer or something like you know
1:32
that I'm amazed yeah yeah oh no
1:34
everybody knows that uh back back in
1:36
hillbilly land where I come from but no
1:39
it was it's it's a it's a fine song I
1:41
just never heard it before and so that's
1:43
why we had him on the Superstar today
1:44
anyway Chris Ria but there there's lots
1:46
of great stories around the song and why
1:48
and when and how he wrote it Etc and the
1:50
fact that he actually never played it
1:51
live until one year when he was playing
1:54
the Hammer Smith Apollo and the crew
1:56
were like it's the 20th of December
1:57
you've got to play you've got to play
1:58
driving home for Christmas he's like if
2:00
I'm going to do it I'm going to do it
2:01
effing well he said and what happened he
2:05
basically hired a snow
2:07
Cannon go back to to him talking about
2:09
it because it's quite funny uh so he
2:11
said um I hide this snow Cannon because
2:15
I said I was going to do it well I'm
2:16
going to do it properly 12 snow cannons
2:18
he hired when we started the song you
2:20
couldn't hear it for the noise of the
2:21
crowd and we let go with the machines we
2:23
put three ft of artificial snow in the
2:25
Stalls the venue charged me £12,000 to
2:28
clean it up
2:31
I bet that's what he made on that Year
2:33
good Lord brilliant anyway what is your
2:35
favorite Christmas song Greg
2:37
Lake really yeah Father Christmas oh
2:41
that's a great song it did that's a
2:42
great sign for a close second Fahrenheit
2:44
um or known as mchina sorry fry height
2:48
Munch of fry height as they're known as
2:49
in Germany um we're keeping the dream
2:51
alive there's a great full long long
2:53
version of it I don't know that's and
2:54
that's not really a Christmas song but
2:56
it's always out this time of year one of
2:58
my favorites is a song that I used to
3:01
use when I worked in production back in
3:03
back in the day and it was uh celebrate
3:05
me home by Kenny Loggins and which is
3:07
kind of a Christmas song but nobody ever
3:08
plays it as a Christmas song but it's
3:10
really about you know family and coming
3:13
over the house and and then and then you
3:15
kicking them out after a couple of days
3:17
and saying go back to where you came
3:18
from you bums what are you you're eating
3:21
all my food so did a whole show with
3:23
Rosie last week um Christmas songs that
3:25
aren't Christmas songs if you know songs
3:27
that come out that time of year but
3:29
aren't actually Christmas song well
3:30
that's that's a good thing to do was any
3:33
alcohol involved during that show when
3:34
we put it together there was yeah there
3:36
was there was some glue Vine actually in
3:38
fact there was a bottle of glue Vine my
3:40
favorite yeah so next week if you're
3:42
around at this time we will do the
3:46
biggest billboard Christmas Hits Huge
3:49
that's a huge thing I was surprised at
3:52
how they it's about 100 songs well yeah
3:54
uh but we'll we'll do we'll do over four
3:56
hours on next Tuesday so it'll be about
3:57
40 odd um but um the biggest um us
4:01
Christmas songs from billboard it it's
4:03
weird how it Compares with the UK one
4:05
which I'll do the following day next
4:07
next week Christmas Eve and Christmas
4:09
day uh because there's quite a lot on
4:11
the American one that's not on the
4:12
British one likewise obviously they're
4:14
older for some reason but if you listen
4:16
to Christmas music in the states you'll
4:18
hear a lot of momy
4:20
from well there's a lot of Home Alone
4:22
stuff in there but it's like Mommy
4:24
kissing Santa Claus which is from the
4:26
50s I used to listen to that I don't
4:28
want to date myself but it was
4:30
I had I had a little coming out I had a
4:34
record player in my in my room and I
4:37
would sit there and I had all these
4:38
Christmas albums and I this is kind of
4:40
sad isn't it I would sit alone in my
4:42
room and play these Christmas albums
4:44
what else are you going to do then what
4:45
I don't want to play him in front of my
4:47
parents you know I was I was like 10
4:49
years old you know it's so I was a kid
4:51
so I don't know but but there are a lot
4:53
of songs from the 50s and 60s yeah you
4:55
were DJing at 10 eh at 10 yes love it
4:59
excellent
5:00
too right yeah buddy let's get down to
5:03
business uh rich is here of course as
5:05
always on a Tuesday to look at events in
5:07
the United States of America we'll get
5:10
to that man shortly but uh again just as
5:14
we uh before adud to come on a another
5:17
school shooting an inordinate amount of
5:19
school shootings again in the US OFA
5:22
this year and the latest um another
5:25
devastating uh incident for the
5:27
community we had gone a while with
5:29
without without talking about a shooting
5:31
but I would love to do a show just once
5:34
where somebody didn't get shot or killed
5:35
and it it's it's so tragic and this one
5:37
was in Wisconsin in Madison which is the
5:40
home of the University of Wisconsin it's
5:42
a beautiful city absolutely spectacular
5:45
City and uh uh this one the the the
5:47
shooter was a girl it was a 15-year-old
5:49
girl um there was some talk whether or
5:52
not she was trans or not but you know
5:54
God Lov the mayor who said it doesn't or
5:56
was it the uh the chief of police who
5:58
said it doesn't matter but but this was
6:00
a young woman named Samantha rupnow um
6:03
who unfortunately after she killed a few
6:06
people killed herself and there are a
6:08
bunch of people still in the hospital
6:09
that are that are recuperating but this
6:11
is a uh she she apparently had some
6:14
Manifesto that that had some very
6:17
hateful views and that that that she had
6:20
put online so that's the one thing um
6:23
about these shootings a lot of these
6:24
people are are quite Disturbed and they
6:26
and they and they share these thoughts
6:28
with with so many other people so they
6:30
can kind of uh see what the purpose is
6:33
of are not just in the states obviously
6:36
they are um you experienced them in
6:39
other countries as well but um something
6:41
like 400 or something in the past year
6:44
um in the United States and it's really
6:46
something that you you'd hope that you
6:48
could get on top of but not why you have
6:50
the gun laws no it's it you know it's
6:52
not it's not just the school shootings
6:54
that really bothers me you know as we
6:56
talked last week I was my wife and I
6:58
were back in the States for uh about a
7:00
week and a half and uh we were down in
7:02
New Orleans and home her hometown and
7:04
there were seven shootings one night
7:07
three of them were on the street that we
7:08
were uh we were in a hotel so seven
7:11
shootings and one of them was a
7:12
three-year-old child and it was just uh
7:15
kind of it's It's so out of control and
7:17
so crazy and I know Americans really
7:19
would like to have uh some sort of gun
7:21
control um legislation it just they
7:25
just ridiculous they just can't seem to
7:27
get it done as a congress it's it's just
7:30
uh it's just awful uh 83rd school
7:34
shooting of
7:35
2024
7:37
um yeah but there I mean there have been
7:39
there have been a number of of other
7:41
shootings I think I don't think that
7:42
that was quite correct actually but um
7:44
no I think the number of 323 that sounds
7:47
more like it in the country this year
7:50
yeah okay um let's move on to another
7:53
story which has been dominating the
7:54
headlines and nobody seems to be able to
7:56
get a hold of this although uh the FBI
7:59
have tried to uh despite the uh incoming
8:02
president not believing a word of it all
8:04
this is the Drone scenario where we've
8:07
had this in the UK drones over the US
8:09
military bases there but now a number of
8:12
places in the states as well amongst the
8:14
military bases 10 states 10 states in
8:16
the in the US they've just added
8:18
Virginia to that uh this week and uh
8:21
they can't figure out what it is
8:23
hundreds and hundreds of these drones
8:24
are hanging over uh mainly the Eastern
8:27
Seaboard but also places like Florida
8:29
and uh Massachusetts and uh Texas also
8:34
and California as I think I said the FBI
8:37
warning people not to shoot them down
8:39
yeah don't shoot them down because and
8:40
if anybody's listening well if you're
8:42
listening and and you're in the US and
8:44
you have a weapon don't please don't
8:45
shoot them down because then the blades
8:47
fall down and can cause damage and you
8:49
never know it might it may not be a
8:51
drone it may be an aircraft it could be
8:53
a helicopter right this is what the FBI
8:55
said having closely examined the
8:57
technical data and tips from concerned
8:59
citizens we assess that the sightings to
9:01
date include a combination of lawful
9:03
commercial drones hobbyist drones and
9:05
law enforcement drones as well as manned
9:07
fix wi aircraft helicopters and stars
9:10
mistakenly reported as drones we've not
9:13
identified anything anomalous and do not
9:16
assess the activity to date to present a
9:18
national security or public safety risk
9:21
over the civilian airspace of New Jersey
9:23
or other states in the Northeast well
9:25
somebody saying it's fine but the
9:28
incoming presidents was like there's
9:30
something going on here well something
9:33
strange going on but nobody really seems
9:35
to know even even the FBI doesn't know
9:37
the the homeland security doesn't know
9:40
um mayorcas who's the head of Homeland
9:42
Security doesn't know and what he did
9:44
say is it's not the Iranians it's not
9:45
the Chinese and it's not martians so
9:48
don't shoot them down um I I I would
9:52
love to be in some of those meetings
9:53
where they have uh uh ideas on what it
9:56
might be but um I they can't be
10:00
hobbyists they can't be people who just
10:01
happen to got drones for Christmas and
10:04
they got them early and they're just
10:05
flying drones I I understand that but
10:07
it's interesting that they're all flying
10:08
at night that's that's the most
10:10
interesting thing to me and and there
10:12
are you know thousands of these s it's a
10:15
bit it's a bit mad there have been
10:16
there's been some stuff on Truth social
10:18
I don't know if you've caught this where
10:20
one of the most bizarre theories um that
10:23
on Donald Trump's truth social is the
10:25
meme suggesting they're delivering large
10:27
quantities of McDonald's to the ex New
10:29
Jersey Governor Chris Christie who's
10:32
little bit on the larger
10:33
side he's a big boy oh yeah um right
10:37
we'll move on and we'll talk to uh talk
10:39
about rather uh some of the serious
10:41
issues as president Trump uh comes to
10:45
take power within the next few weeks
10:47
looking first at Big Business starting
10:49
to uh well basically tow the line as it
10:52
were yeah it it sounds it's quite
10:54
different than it was eight years ago
10:56
when he took over when everybody was
10:57
fighting and you know the Democrats
10:59
wanted to bring him down even during his
11:01
term and now and and and all the
11:03
businesses were well I wouldn't say all
11:05
the businesses but businesses that
11:06
didn't like Trump which're just just
11:08
saying we're going to do everything we
11:09
can to defeat this gu Zuckerberg's been
11:10
giving him money me he wasn't really a
11:12
fan was he you know no Zuckerberg and
11:15
BOS of Amazon um samman of open AI also
11:19
and the and the head of uh the guy who
11:20
heads up Google they're all giving him
11:22
money for the
11:24
uh yeah for his inauguration um I might
11:28
might point out that that companies
11:30
large companies giving money to
11:31
presidents for their inauguration is is
11:34
normal it's a tradition it's you can't
11:36
look at it and go why would they give
11:38
money to Trump well because Trump holds
11:40
the pur strings or or Biden held the pur
11:43
strings and and so did Obama and it's a
11:45
case where you don't want to piss off
11:47
the president you're you're buying
11:48
future cookies or sweeties I suppose
11:51
sweeteners a good way and you're so
11:53
you're allowed to do this otherwise does
11:54
he have to pay for himself the
11:55
inauguration is that not taxpayers money
11:57
that pays for oh please you're hilarious
12:00
him paying for his own inauguration are
12:02
you kidding but he's made a few bucks
12:04
since he became president this is a guy
12:06
this is a guy that got sued for for
12:08
taking money from a children's charity
12:09
that he uh he himself was running but
12:12
but normally I guess it comes out of the
12:14
president's own funds yeah yeah yeah it
12:17
comes supporters no all supporters and
12:19
the taxpayer it is not coming from the
12:20
taxpayer and it's not you know mo most
12:23
of the most of the money that spent is
12:25
for security and putting up the right
12:28
you know one thing that I find kind of
12:30
interesting and have always found
12:31
interesting about the inauguration is
12:33
that um even if a president is serving a
12:35
second term even though Obama for
12:37
instance served a second consecutive
12:39
term in 2012 they still inaugurated him
12:43
you know even though he didn't leave it
12:45
was nothing they they said well you give
12:46
a speech you're staying in the building
12:48
you're not going anywhere I don't think
12:50
there's any need if I were running the
12:52
government I'd say you know you just got
12:54
reelected you you don't really don't
12:56
need the Pomp and Circumstance we we
12:58
know you look like and and that whole
13:00
thing but uh uh so it it'll it'll be
13:03
kind of a big thing and the
13:04
president-elect was loving it the first
13:06
term everybody was fighting me this term
13:08
everybody wants to be my friends yeah
13:10
the the the the climate is a little bit
13:12
different but you know the one thing
13:14
that that I've talked about in the past
13:16
and and uh it's just that where he gets
13:19
to this where he gets to why people are
13:23
kind of Towing the line and people are
13:24
liking him more and a lot of it is
13:26
because he threatens them you know if
13:28
you don't do this then I'll do this and
13:30
you know his his proclivity to say well
13:33
I may be raising taxes I may be doing X
13:38
or Y and it's you know that's it's that
13:40
sort of thing that makes the stock
13:41
market nervous it makes people nervous
13:43
uh you're better off just waiting and
13:45
doing it you know and and just Talk
13:48
Amongst yourselves as to whether or not
13:50
you're going to change policy or you're
13:52
going to you're going to eliminate uh
13:54
vaccines for polio God help us with him
13:56
you mentioned the polio vaccine then and
13:59
Donald Trump repeating his support of
14:01
the polio vaccine uh but RFK Jr not so H
14:06
Happy Well he said actually that's what
14:07
I'm saying I don't mind vaccines I'm not
14:09
worried about vaccines this was RFK yeah
14:11
yeah it's he's speaking out of both
14:13
sides of his mouth and so which kind of
14:15
makes people a little bit nervous
14:16
because if there's one vaccine in the
14:19
world that has done the job that it's
14:21
supposed to do it's Jonas O's polio
14:23
vaccine it's been around for about 70
14:25
years um and it's because of that that
14:29
haven't gotten Polio I mean it's been
14:30
wiped out now for him to say I think I'm
14:32
going to get rid of the polio vaccine
14:34
because there's a there's a connection
14:35
with autism I don't I you know I'm not a
14:38
doctor or at least it's been a while
14:40
since I've been to medical school which
14:41
was never but you know I look at this
14:43
and I go just stop talking about this
14:46
stop stop making people nervous and then
14:47
Trump thank God Trump came out and said
14:49
I'm not getting rid of the polio vaccine
14:51
don't worry about it uh on top of that
14:53
it would you know a lot of these threats
14:54
are really it would take them a long
14:56
time to execute this you can't you can't
14:58
can't do it every night you can't do it
14:59
overnight you can't you cannot do it by
15:01
executive order and I'm if any president
15:03
stood up and said I'm going to issue an
15:05
executive order we're getting rid of
15:06
vaccines I'm telling you there would be
15:08
riots in the streets because it's I mean
15:11
vaccines you know 99% of them are really
15:14
good and they're good for you so so we
15:16
should clarify that um Robert F Kennedy
15:18
Jr is Donald Trump's pick for health
15:20
secretary some of what he's saying
15:22
though about the amount of chemicals and
15:24
things in the foods that Americans eat
15:26
um May May well be good if he gets those
15:29
taken out there's no question about that
15:31
there's no question corated chicken for
15:32
instance hormones in beef y yeah you
15:34
know apparently they're not going to be
15:36
part of any trade d deal for Britain
15:37
well well all you all any American has
15:40
to do is come to Europe and look at the
15:42
food here and look at the the chicken
15:44
that that you get in the or beef or or
15:46
any any meat that you get in the grocery
15:48
store and you look at it and you go it
15:49
looks a lot different than American
15:50
chicken because what do you mean
15:51
healthier it's it is healthier but
15:53
smaller oh definitely smaller everything
15:55
here is smaller but but but having these
15:58
chickens that are plumped up and they
15:59
you know and they've got muscles and I I
16:01
saw a chicken move one time in the
16:03
rapper it just stood I was so big and no
16:05
I didn't look at you you believing me no
16:08
it was like it had muscles I know I
16:10
remember when I first came to spay
16:12
actually their fresh chickens would just
16:13
be there with their heads like that you
16:15
don't see that anymore so much do you
16:16
that's that's cly not in the rapper
16:18
anyway no not in the rapper but uh but
16:20
you have seen the little suckling pigs
16:22
ready right and Massy Mash both have
16:24
those yeah I know tasty too are they
16:27
okay I don't think I've ever had one of
16:29
those but but American American uh food
16:31
is full of nasty stuff and and I one of
16:35
these things where you could look around
16:36
and say in the New Year I'm going to ear
16:38
I'm going to eat a lot healthier and
16:39
that sort of thing you can't avoid the
16:41
SI you can't avoid all the sugar you
16:42
know that that's in things you know a
16:44
glass of orange juice you know which I I
16:46
I love a good glass of juice but it's
16:48
just filled with sugar and and it's kind
16:50
of nasty you know and that's maybe
16:53
that's why when you get on a plane from
16:56
the states the the plane dips down quite
16:59
a bit when Americans get on board I mean
17:02
we are a chunky Bunch you're you're
17:03
allowed to say that I couldn't possibly
17:05
come are there's a lot of us and we are
17:08
a little extra chunky well maybe some of
17:10
those things might be taken out of the
17:11
food if RFK Jr gets his way uh meanwhile
17:14
uh a judge has denied the incoming
17:17
president uh to the petition rather to
17:21
dismiss that hush money case over
17:23
immunity claims I I I thought that
17:26
basically now the president-elect could
17:28
do what he lik
17:29
well that's what the Supreme Court says
17:31
Manhattan judge Juan merchan is standing
17:33
up to him yeah and the Supreme Court
17:35
just said yeah he's his he's got
17:38
expanded Powers he can do some things
17:40
that that he couldn't do before they
17:42
they passed a judgment that he could do
17:45
a little bit more but this is the the
17:47
Stormy Daniels this is Stormy Daniels
17:50
but so basically if if you hold to that
17:52
it would say that yeah he's allowed to
17:56
uh to hang out with a prostitute and
17:58
write bad checks H that's what the
18:00
Supreme Court says and is not what the
18:02
Supreme Court said the Supreme Court
18:03
said presidentially we give you a little
18:05
bit more power you get a little bit more
18:07
leeway so the other things that he's
18:09
being indicted for he may end up passing
18:12
this one but what happened was this is
18:14
one of those things where you don't get
18:16
what you want unless you ask and so he
18:18
and his lawyers were basically going
18:20
into this judge going well you know now
18:22
that he's president of course this is
18:24
exact an exact quote cuz I was there now
18:28
now that you're president uh you know he
18:31
can you know this this law doesn't apply
18:33
to him anymore and the judge said no
18:35
we're we're still going through with
18:36
this and you're still liable for all
18:38
that money okay well um so that decision
18:41
then means that the historic conviction
18:43
of trump if upheld would make him the
18:46
first felon to serve in the White House
18:48
yep that's right how proud We are Big
18:51
Stuff uh right so uh we were talking
18:54
previously about the incoming President
18:57
we mentioned that the tech companies are
18:59
going to give him loads of money Amazon
19:01
a million apparently uh another million
19:04
coming from its uh is that another
19:06
million from Prime I'm not sure anyway
19:09
meta already said and Prime is going to
19:11
televis it too that's right yeah then
19:12
meta had already said they were going to
19:14
give him a million uh Amazon uh also
19:17
going to we don't know how much do we
19:18
yet from Amazon at the moment no it but
19:20
they were previously not bad fellows no
19:23
uh all these people hated them they
19:25
wanted to string them up uh in in the in
19:28
the town hall
19:29
parking lot but he you know they they
19:31
need him and he needs them there's no
19:33
question about it and it's it's you know
19:35
as a consumer I'm I'm happy when they
19:37
all play nice I think that's great give
19:39
him a a million bucks to Jeff Bezos is
19:41
nothing of course interesting though
19:44
that he should meet the Tik Tok CEO shoy
19:46
Chu um because apparently they are well
19:50
they're basically in January they could
19:51
cease to exist in their current form in
19:54
the United States but um I wonder
19:55
whether he's going to do something to
19:57
stop that happening I don't know Trump
19:59
right now orally well four eight years
20:01
ago he was against Tik Tok when he found
20:03
out oh well the Chinese could be using
20:05
the information but uh for some reason
20:07
now he's softened on the whole thing and
20:09
I I would think that uh if it weren't
20:12
for the fact that the Congress is so
20:13
worked up about Tik Tok right now and
20:16
and uh and the idea of information
20:18
sharing and and uh that sort of thing I
20:22
think that uh Tik Tock would be uh
20:25
sticking around but I I really have
20:27
doubts about it I think there I think
20:29
Tik Tok is going to be sold right before
20:31
the deadline got before he sworn in yeah
20:35
that is coincidentally the day before he
20:37
sworn in I think that might have been
20:38
actually on purpose don't you for that
20:42
um but yeah I don't know we'll see
20:43
because but it's not been confirmed has
20:45
it oh it has that he was at maralago the
20:48
Tik Tok CEO on Monday he was there
20:51
they've confirmed that they were all
20:52
together and and and I get that you know
20:55
they're all down there as they say
20:56
kissing the ring and and he loves it and
20:59
uh I have no problem with it you know
21:01
personally I mean let's all play nicely
21:04
and if money makes the world go around
21:06
that's fine and that's all Trump
21:07
understands is money it seems okay and
21:09
but he seem there seems to be a Kinder
21:11
gentler version of him he does at the
21:14
moment a little bit you know but I I say
21:16
for me the the one thing I hate is all
21:18
the threats I mean that doesn't sit well
21:20
I think with a lot of people but it's
21:22
just you know play nicely you know you
21:25
know we'll see what happens all right
21:26
let's switch to the Democrats and news
21:29
that party AIDS are confident in the US
21:32
vice president's ability to bounce back
21:35
bidding for California Governor and
21:37
presidential candidate again in 28
21:39
really well she's got some decisions to
21:41
make because Gavin Nome uh was the uh uh
21:45
he he's in the position until uh 2027
21:49
yeah he's the California governor yeah
21:50
he's in an off an off year uh being an
21:53
odd-numbered year and uh so we don't
21:56
know what he's going to do and Nome is
21:57
is he's at term limit so he's got to
22:00
leave he's got to leave office so it's
22:02
not that he's being kicked out he's got
22:04
to go what would his next step perhaps I
22:07
wonder I wonder what that's going to be
22:08
but but there was a reason why Nome and
22:11
Gretchen Whitmer and uh from Michigan
22:14
and uh also uh Josh Shapiro from
22:18
Pennsylvania did not uh be considered
22:21
for vice president um it's because all
22:24
three of them I believe and I have
22:26
reason to believe that that they're
22:28
going to be running for president and
22:30
probably by 2026 all three of those
22:32
those three people and they're all good
22:33
people they're going to be throwing
22:34
their hat in the ring I got to tell you
22:36
Democrats might stand a chance this time
22:38
then they might stand a chance I mean
22:39
there's some good people in there but
22:41
there you know there frequently are good
22:42
people no matter what but she's got a
22:45
decision to make because she's got to
22:47
either declare for
22:48
California and I can't imagine anybody
22:52
becoming governor of California running
22:53
a whole campaign that's going to take
22:55
you over a year to run and then all of a
22:56
sudden Desert California and go now I'm
22:58
gonna run for president I just
23:00
don't I just don't think her when does
23:03
she have make a mind up well I would
23:05
about a year to go I I would think I
23:07
would think by the end of 2025 but
23:10
whether or not the Democratic party is
23:12
clamoring for her to run again I think
23:15
everybody is still really smarting over
23:16
the fact they started to float the ideas
23:19
I think that was the way it was put in
23:20
Fr I'd be interested to know what people
23:22
think out there it's too early I think
23:23
at the moment people are just going to
23:24
say no I would have thought you'd have
23:25
to wait you know I don't know if we're
23:27
getting any calls or any any emails on
23:29
this one but I uh these are these are
23:32
people that are probably really close to
23:34
her basically it's everybody saying Greg
23:36
Lake is the best Christmas song Greg
23:38
Lake like the poges as well you know you
23:41
asked I checked I asked I want to know
23:43
what what people think out there we know
23:44
what we think yeah that's that's what
23:46
people say that is but but but as an
23:48
Emerson lean Palmer fan I I think it's a
23:50
great song I'm going to switch I was
23:52
going to play Mariah but I'm not now um
23:55
update us on this because it's a little
23:56
bit confusing for us Brits the Luigi
23:59
Mion story this is the person that
24:03
allegedly shot the CEO of United healthc
24:06
Care
24:07
yeah there's a lot of money come from
24:09
the public to to for his defense there's
24:12
not not nearly as much as we thought was
24:15
going to come in he's got
24:16
$130,000 coming in and uh these are from
24:20
people who just think he's hot looking
24:22
people who think there must be people
24:23
who think he's not guilty but boy this
24:26
is not looking good for him I mean there
24:28
there's video all the way around there
24:30
fingerprints and everything and it's
24:31
everything says that he's probably the
24:33
guy but as you say you know allegedly
24:35
he's uh you know innocent till proven
24:37
guilty but you know everything from
24:39
Saturday Night Live to to uh late night
24:42
Comics
24:44
$140,000 in donations on the
24:46
crowdfunding uh give send go I did see
24:49
somebody being a little bit more
24:50
sensible about it saying that they
24:52
donated because they believe in a fair
24:55
trial so despite all this evidence um
24:57
somebody should still have proper
24:59
representation she got to agree you know
25:01
yeah but but a funny thing to me is that
25:03
he comes from a lot of money his parents
25:06
were uh you know he was a Yale a Yale
25:08
graduate himself and he has parents who
25:12
uh seem to have the means to because
25:14
they' they've hired a really
25:16
high-powered attorney in New York and
25:17
he's being extradited back to New York
25:19
so that's where that's where his trial
25:21
is going to be he was everybody knows he
25:23
was caught in in this uh small City
25:25
Altuna in in Pennsylvania but he is
25:27
going back to New York York to stand
25:28
trial um but the fact is that his his
25:32
folks have money and you know he's got a
25:34
lot of friends out there a lot of people
25:35
were were coughing up dough for for
25:37
different reasons uh there's no question
25:39
he's a good-look guy and he's only 26
25:42
years old yeah the mainstream media were
25:43
on the B L he's such a greatl looking
25:45
guy what was going to do with the world
25:47
I know it really bothers me because at
25:48
the end of the day regardless of what
25:50
you think here's a man who had a a
25:52
family allegedly killed some he gunned
25:54
down by being shot in the back on the
25:56
right in front of a hotel okay I know
25:57
there's one story you really want to get
25:59
in um so uh what's going to happen when
26:02
Time magazine's person of the year for
26:04
the second time comes in the FED has set
26:07
to cut interest rates this week but the
26:09
experts are saying next year is bringing
26:11
uncertainty when the president-elect
26:13
takes control yeah the FED fed uh uh
26:16
Bitcoin Notre that right now yeah but
26:20
the but the the markets are going to be
26:22
really what happens is the American
26:23
markets will go up tomorrow they'll
26:25
they'll tick upwards when when the FED
26:26
announces it but you know I uh certainly
26:29
the the European Central Bank really
26:32
doesn't know what's going to happen I
26:33
don't think anybody knows what's going
26:34
to happen because when Trump was uh
26:37
voted into office the stock market just
26:40
was propelled the next day and it and
26:43
everybody was making a lot of money that
26:44
that was in the market now the market is
26:46
kind of settled back in it's it's up one
26:49
day down one day but not not a whole lot
26:51
back to where it was effective it's not
26:53
really done a lot but um yeah we'll
26:55
we'll have to see all right I'll give
26:56
you a minute on the googly eyes on
26:59
Oregon City sculptures which are
27:01
upsetting the officials I'm telling you
27:04
thank God I saw this story is great
27:05
thank God we got to the googly eyes
27:07
story I know we're running out of time
27:08
here but in my home state of Oregon in
27:10
Bend Oregon which is right in the middle
27:12
of the state um it's very conservative
27:14
area I want to tell you it's you know
27:16
that's a kind of a red area compared to
27:18
Portland which is really really quite
27:19
blue um people are putting googly eyes
27:22
on the uh so these are the big eyes you
27:24
kind of see on on teddy bears and like
27:26
on stuffed animals but yeah they've been
27:28
going up on on on sculptures on all
27:31
kinds of different
27:33
things we don't know what who it's who
27:36
it is or what it's about no we don't of
27:38
course they don't know who's doing it
27:39
but of course there's a Grinch in in
27:41
city council going they really shouldn't
27:43
be doing this it's going to cost $1,500
27:45
for us to take the googly eyes off of
27:47
them and a lot of oregonians are going
27:49
leave the googly eyes on they look good
27:51
you
27:52
know you know put it on George
27:54
Washington's statue you know
27:58
the
