I Trained an LTX 2.3 LoRA for 164 Hours… Too Long
Aug 18, 2026
How many steps should you actually train an LTX 2.3 character LoRA? I wanted to measure it instead of guessing.
I trained a character LoRA of myself from 28 video clips for 8,000 steps, saving every 250 steps for 32 checkpoints. The full run took 164 hours, but the results suggest the sweet spot arrived much earlier. Training ran on the Spark, with generation rendered on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090.
And the voice narrating the Short? Also AI—from checkpoint 2,250.
