Futureboard, a Flipboard-like Scala Futures demo

https://alvinalexander.com This is a short demo of using Scala futures to create a little Scala/Swing demo application I call Futureboard, which works like Flipboard in getting content from multiple websites simultaneously. You can use other technologies like RxScala or RxJava to do the same thing, but I’m just trying to show an application of futures here. I’ll share a little blog post and the source code for anyone interested in it, but for the moment, this is the demo video.
