Hey everyone, it's Lisa from AIPT Comics
0:07
We're here at the Hasbro booth. We've got the Marvel Legends series going on behind us, 10 for 10
0:17
And we're here with Ryan, who's graciously agreed to walk us through the booth
0:21
So Ryan, thanks for being with us today. And let's start by walking through these, if you wouldn't mind
0:27
We've got a bunch of shadow boxes here showing all the different waves. We'll just go through them here
0:31
First up is Deadpool Wave 1. This came out earlier this year. These are all comic-inspired Deadpool and X-Men type characters
0:37
It's the Sasquatch Builder Figure. And then hitting shelves right about now is Deadpool Wave 2
0:42
So this has Sauron as the Builder Figure. He is a classic X-Men villain
0:46
We've got a really fun version of Deadpool. He's rocking the boxers, yes, yes
0:50
He's got flippers even. So those are our two Deadpool waves. Okay, Deadpool's always a big hit
0:55
We'll move on ahead here. This is kind of a combination of movie figures from our Avengers assortment
1:00
So we had two Avengers waves for the year with a mix of movie and comic. These are all the movie figures
1:06
And we also have the Wasp and the Alien. They were in Avengers Wave 2
1:11
So those are our Avengers waves. Down here is a really fun one because we have Black Panther Wave 1 from earlier this year
1:17
And minutes ago, we just revealed on the Marvel.com live stream the full Black Panther Wave 2. Awesome
1:25
We've got six more movie figures and a movie Builder Figure. So you've got T'Chaka in the back, two Black Panthers including a new Vibranium one
1:33
Yeah, that one's awesome. Eric Killmonger with his military costume and the tribal mask
1:38
We've got Klaue in the back with his arm cannon. We have Adora Milaje and Ayo, another member of the Dora
1:45
And then the Builder Figure is M'Baka. Oh, this is the Builder Figure. Excellent
1:49
All right, cool. Moving on here. We have this, which as you can kind of look around, we're celebrating Marvel Studios' first 10 years
1:56
It's from 2008. Iron Man 1 came out in 2018. It's Infinity War, so we have a full product line
2:01
We actually have 10 items for the 10 years. We have a combination of single figures and multi-packs
2:06
So that's what you see here going back to Iron Man all the way through Guardians of the Galaxy and Man
2:12
Infinity War, you think? Yeah, this is excellent. These are mixes of our products for that
2:16
You've got a cool mix going on here, too. And you've got the Hulk Iron Man I see as well. Hulkbuster. Hulkbuster
2:22
Versus the Hulk from Age of Ultron. Yep, that's right. Cool. So then sliding on down here, we're back into the comic world now
2:28
So here we have our Venom Legends Wave, which will be coming out later this fall
2:32
Our first ever Spider-Ham Legends. Yeah, cool. From new comic versions of Carnage and Venom, as well as a monster Venom Builder Figure in the back looming over everyone
2:44
Down below here we have our Spider-Man Wave 2. So we have two waves of Spider-Man Legends for this year
2:50
Wave 1 is not in the case. We ran out of space. But this is the new Spider-Man Wave hitting now
2:55
Headlined by the S.P.D.R. mech android Builder Figure and a Doc Ock with his four tentacles
3:02
We've also got some nice duos in this wave. So we have Daredevil and Elektra, as well as Cloak and Dagger in the back
3:09
They are a team. Cool. Now did you say that the Spider-Man mech was also a Builder Figure
3:14
It is the Builder Figure. It is the Builder Figure. S.P.D.R. Cool
3:18
We move ahead here to X-Men. So this is our X-Men Wave for the year
3:22
This is the Apocalypse Builder Figure Wave. We've got some great fan favorites like Wolverine, Storm, Magneto, Sabretooth in this wave
3:30
And that claw piece, people were asking, because it's a new piece we revealed
3:35
So we're not saying quite where it's coming yet. But it's for use with the Apocalypse Figure that is out now
3:40
Oh, interesting. All right, a little cliffhanger for us. OK. This was just revealed too in the Marvel.com livestream
3:45
Deadpool on his scooter. This is going to be our vehicle series for 2019
3:49
The other three are coming out this year. So we've had Ghost Rider and Black Widow earlier this spring
3:54
We have Logan on his blue chopper, which will be a fall 2018 item
3:58
So Deadpool with Dogpool and Squirrelpool riding on his back there all will be for 2019
4:05
The whole menagerie is on the bike. We have this one at home, actually. Yeah? Yeah
4:10
It's really fun. A lot of fire pieces. This is just we wanted to show our latest thing in Silver Surfer
4:15
These are all Walgreens exclusives. But this is just showing the whole team together in a Fantastic Four plus Silver Surfer
4:22
And then down below here, we'll finish with our two Comic-Con exclusive items for sale at the convention
4:27
We have a Defenders five-pack based on the Netflix shows. And then the Captain America 1 Red Skull and a life-size glowing Tesseract. Wow
4:37
Those are our two Comic-Con exclusives. So as we try to make our way over to the diorama, I wanted to ask you, how long does it take to set up something like this
4:44
Are you only responsible for this section? We were, I was mostly responsible for Legends, but we had a whole team because we have all these other product lines
4:52
So everyone's kind of jumping in and helping out. And the diorama does take a lot of work
4:56
You know, the guys, Tony in particular, you know, is the expert at it
5:00
So he was helping us set up. Tony the expert on camera there. That's right
5:06
So here, this diorama, it's a big, you know, fan favorite every year at the convention
5:11
Normally it's been all comic book mashups. For the first time, we made it cinematic based because, again, first 10 years
5:17
So this is our first 6-inch Legends movie diorama. Wow, it's quite intense. Thanks
5:23
What do you think that came out? I think it's great. I mean, I love the depth that you have. Different layers inside the vehicle, above the vehicle, underground
5:30
It's really cool. The vehicle was this big tank, hydro tank. It's a custom
5:34
People are asking us where they can buy it. So it's not available anywhere yet. But it's a custom for the case
5:39
And then we just kind of did a lot of different scenes and vignettes, kind of mixing and matching from all across the big movie universe
5:45
Now, did you get to choose what scenes you were going to set up? Or did somebody from higher up say, hey, this is what we want to showcase
5:52
No, we kind of get approval for the concept. Hey, we want to do this. And then it's just up to us to tell the story
5:57
All right, great. So we tried to, you know, there aren't many repeats in the case
6:01
So there's only one Captain America for kind of storytelling. We do use several different Iron Man armors because you see, you know
6:08
the Hulkbuster and various other armors. But pretty much inside that is just one character fighting Red Skull here in
6:15
the tank, kind of leading with a lot of Hydra troopers. Okay, yeah, and I love how you got a little motion there pulling him across
6:24
It's got him in the headlock. Good storytelling. Yeah, excellent. And we've got Loki kind of sneaking around
6:29
We've got, what else do we got? We got the Hulkbuster punching the big tank
6:37
Oh, yeah, and who's Hulk fighting in the middle there? He's fighting Cull Obsidian from Infinity War. Okay
6:42
And so a lot of great, fun vignettes for us. Yeah, excellent
6:46
Great job. I mean, I know this is a fan favorite for people. So, Ryan, I want to thank you very much
6:52
Thanks for coming. Thanks for being with us today. And don't forget to follow us and subscribe so you can see more of this
