Hey viewers, E36 Fanatic, Stephen here and today I'm doing a video on a power window reset on your BMW E36
0:15
Now sometimes when you're working on your window, if you're doing any sort of repair on a window motor, on a regulator
0:24
Or sometimes just over time the power windows can get off of where they're supposed to end at or begin at on the regulator
0:36
And you'll experience where the window doesn't go all the way up or it doesn't go all the way down
0:42
But the rest of them may work just fine. So I encountered this issue when I was replacing a door handle and I had to unhinge the entire window
0:51
And I actually had to reset the windows. But it a really easy procedure and if this is your issue it can get rid of that problem in no time So first thing you do is turn the car two clicks and lower all of your windows
1:16
once that's done, but you take your key and you turn it
1:27
I went other way. You just hold it there while the windows go up on all sides and then you let it go
1:39
Now you're done. Your windows are reset. That's just a little thing that you do sometimes
1:45
when you're working on your windows or if your window kind of gets off its axis or something
1:51
This can immediately reset it and fix that issue. So like I said, you just lower your windows down and turn your key to the left
1:59
and hold it there for a few seconds and just hold it down while the windows rise and your windows reset
