Hey, this is E36 Fanatics and this is a video on removing the fender on a Mercedes-Benz
0:14
E-430, 2000. Now, unfortunately, you do have to remove the bumper first on this car, and I did that in another
0:24
video if you'd like to take a look at it. My bumper was a replacement, though, so it was a little
0:29
little bit different than a regular bumper because it had rivets on it. But for most bumpers, it's
0:35
going to be really quick to take out, basically. As well, you also can't take out the headlight
0:42
assembly without removing the bumper. So unfortunately, it's a little bit more extra work to do a lot
0:48
of stuff on the front end body work. So if you're removing the fender, first thing you're going to
0:53
want to do is you've got a couple bolts right here. I've already moved them. It's a, uh
1:00
three, four bolts running along here. And then you have this fifth small little bolt right here
1:06
that hooks up the headlight assembly to the fender. You need to remove that too
1:10
It looks like a little eight millimeter bolt. So once you got these couple bolts off
1:16
see it's already getting loose. You want to go ahead and come over here
1:19
to your front driver's side door or your passenger side door if you're doing that fender
1:25
And you're going to open it. And let's see if I can get
1:29
of you there is a bolt there a bolt right back there a bolt right back there You can reach it
1:45
It's okay to reach right there. But you're going to want to do it from outside the door, not inside the door
1:52
And it's just one bolt there. Okay. Okay. So once you got the bolt off around the door area here, you see it's real loose
2:03
Now I kind of did it. The opposite way I see some people do it
2:07
Some people like to start at the bottom here, but it really don't matter. So you get a screwdriver or something and very carefully pry this apart
2:17
It's held in by these little plastic rivets right here, and they just pop out
2:23
And then you can see behind it you have one and two more size 10 millimeter bolts
2:34
and you pop those out. Okay, and last but not least, I missed one bolt
2:43
which is right down here. It's this one right here. A little bit hard to see, but just that last little bolt
2:54
and that's all that holds on the fender. All in all, it's a pretty easy job, pretty easy to take off
3:02
And here is the final product. fenders off looks pretty good I'll be switching it around hope this helped y'all out and as always
