Introduction:

Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
3/4 cup buttermilk, cold
1 tablespoon honey (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Cut in Butter: Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add Buttermilk: Make a well in the center and pour in the cold buttermilk (and honey, if using). Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
Knead Dough: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Gently knead it 3-4 times until it comes together.
