Expect Lines from HELL as European EES Border System Comes into Effect
The European Entry/Exit Systen goes live October 12th. This will impact all non-Schenegen country nationals traveling to Schengen countries which is mostly European Union countries. Expect long lines as 3rd country travelers will have to have their passports scanned, picture taken, and their fingerprints taken and entered into the EES database. after your initial entry with the EES system your next entries will go much faster. But expect long lines for the first few months. Also, this is not the ETIAS system that is scheduled to start in Q4 2026. That system will require pre-registration and approval and a fee. EES does make you have to do anything extra before you travel. everything is done when you get to the border crossing so make sure your passport is up to date. #ees #europeantravel #europenews
