Women's History in Marine Corps Aviation - After the Women's Armed Forces Integration Act was passed in 1948, countless women have risen to the challenge of being a U.S. Marine. In 1975 female Marines were authorized to work in air crews and as pilots. It wasn't until 1995 when Sarah Burrow became the first female Marine to earn her wings.
