Women's History in Marine Corps Aviation - After the Women's Armed Forces Integration Act was passed in 1948, countless women have risen to the challenge of being a U.S. Marine. In 1975 female Marines were authorized to work in air crews and as pilots. It wasn't until 1995 when Sarah Burrow became the first female Marine to earn her wings. Now women make up seven percent of the Corps, but the number continues to grow. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Sgt. Natalie Dillon)
