New boiling mud vent in Awash area, Ethiopia

A seismic crisis, possibly caused by the rise of underground magma, has been shaking the Awash region in Ethiopia since September. Several ground cracks have appeared during the numerous magnitude 4 to 5 quakes, as well as vents emitting hot steam and mud.
