The strangest place on earth - Dallol flyover

The hydrothermal field of Dallol in the northern Danakil desert of Ethiopia is one of the world's strangest places. Intense hydrothermal activity driven by the heat of magma at shallow depth beneath the crust and the presence of abundant salt create an explosion of colors and strange formations of lakes, salt structures, fumaroles and small geysers.
