Situated 16 Km away from Kot addu. Taunsa barrae is used for irrigation through canals and controlling water level in case of flood in the Indus river. Head Taunsa was constructed in 1958. This barrage has capacity of irrigating 2.351 million acres (951,400 hectares) of land besides diverting water flows from River Sindh to the River Chenab through Taunsa-Panjnad Link Canal (TP Link Canal).
