In terms of how you get into the device, you have to unlock it using Touch ID, so the button is built right into the power button on the right side here, which is not bad, but I would actually prefer Face ID

So what about battery life? There's a dual battery system in the iPhone Duo and it's rated to last 31 hours for the main display and 44 hours on the outside display
