RUSSIA DOWNS UKRAINIAN SU-27 FIGHTER JET, Claims Heavy Losses Across Six Frontlines Russian forces intensified their multi-front campaign in Ukraine, claiming heavy battlefield losses for Kyiv s troops and the destruction of Western-supplied military equipment. In its latest operational briefing, the Russian Defence Ministry said strikes targeted Ukrainian mechanised and assault brigades across Sumy, Kharkov, Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk regions. Moscow reported the downing of a Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jet and said air defence systems intercepted eight guided aerial bombs, three HIMARS rockets and 241 drones. Russian aviation, missiles and attack drones were also deployed against energy and transport infrastructure as well as drone launch sites and troop positions across 144 locations. The update described intensified pressure across the battlefield as Russian forces claimed further tactical advances and destruction of artillery systems, armoured vehicles and supply depots.
