0:01
so if you look at that China first row
0:05
China 67% that's tariffs charged to the
0:10
USA including currency manipulation and
0:14
trade barriers so 67% I think you can
0:17
for the most part see it those with good
0:19
eyes with bad eyes we didn't want to
0:21
bring it's very windy out here we didn't
0:23
want to bring out the big charts because
0:24
it had no chance of
0:26
standing fortunately we came armed with
0:29
a little smaller
0:30
chart so 67% so we're going to be
0:33
charging a discounted reciprocal Tariff
0:36
of 34% I think in other words they
0:39
charge us we charge them we charge them
0:40
less so how can anybody be upset they
0:43
will be because we never charge anybody
0:45
anything but now we're going to
0:47
charge uh European Union they're very
0:50
tough very very tough Traders uh you
0:54
know you think of European Union very
0:56
friendly they rip us off it's so sad to
0:58
say it's so pathetic 39% we're going to
1:02
charge them 20% so we're charging them
1:05
essentially half Vietnam great
1:07
negotiators great people they like me I
1:10
like them the problem is they charge us
1:12
90% we're going to charge them 46%
1:16
tarff Taiwan where they make they took
1:19
all of our computer chips and
1:22
semiconductors we used to be the King
1:24
right we were everything we had all of
1:26
it now we have almost none of it except
1:28
the biggest company is coming in they're
1:30
going to have we're going to end up with
1:31
almost 40% Lee Eldon's working to get
1:34
their approvals and it's an amazing
1:36
company Mr way of one of the great
1:39
companies of the world actually they're
1:41
coming in from Taiwan and they're going
1:42
to build one of the biggest plants in
1:44
the world maybe the biggest for that but
1:47
64% we're going to charge them 32% Japan
1:51
uh very very tough uh great people and
1:55
again I don't blame the people for doing
1:56
it it's I think they're very smart in
1:58
doing it I blame the people that sat
2:00
right at that Oval Office right over
2:01
there right behind the Resolute desk or
2:04
whichever desk they
2:06
chose Japan 46% they would charge us 46%
2:10
and much higher for certain items like
2:12
cars you know little items like cars 46%
2:16
we're charging them 24% India very very
2:19
tough very very tough the Prime Minister
2:23
just left and he's a great friend of
2:25
mine but I said you're a friend of mine
2:27
but you're not be treating us right
2:29
right they charg us 52% you have to
2:32
understand we charge them almost nothing
2:33
for years and years and decades and it
2:36
was only uh seven years ago when I came
2:39
in uh we started with China charge and
2:42
we took in hundreds of billions of
2:44
dollars from China in tariffs and they
2:48
understood honestly president shei
2:50
understood he said look I understand and
2:53
the other countries and they all
2:54
understand we're going to have to go
2:56
through a little tough love maybe but
2:58
they all understand they're ripping us
2:59
off and they understood it uh Prime
3:02
Minister of Japan uh Shinzo was Shinzo
3:07
ABI he was a fantastic man he was
3:11
unfortunately taken from us
3:13
assassination but I went to him and I
3:15
said
3:16
Shinzo we have to do something at trade
3:18
is not fair he said I know that I know
3:21
that and he was a great gentleman he was
3:24
uh a fantastic man but he understood
3:28
immediately what I was talking about I
3:30
said shinso we have to do something he
3:32
said I know that and we worked out a
3:34
deal and it would have been a much
3:35
better deal but frankly uh there were
3:38
many years left on the deal that was
3:39
made previous to my getting there but it
3:41
was it was
3:43
something uh if you look at Switzerland
3:45
61% to 31% Indonesia Malaysia Cambodia
3:50
oh look at Cambodia
3:52
97% we're going to bring it down to 49
3:55
they made a fortune with the United
3:57
States of America United Kingdom 10%
4:00
and we'll go 10% so we'll do the same
4:03
thing South Africa oh 60% 30% and
4:08
they've got some bad things going on in
4:10
South Africa you know we're paying them
4:13
billions of dollars and we cut the
4:15
funding because a lot of bad things are
4:17
happening in South Africa the fake news
4:18
ought to be looking at it they don't
4:20
want to report it Brazil 10% 10%
4:24
Bangladesh is 74% so you see what's
4:28
going on Pakistan
4:31
58% Sri Lanka
4:34
88% so what we're doing is we're taking
4:38
not the full we could take the full 88%
4:40
thanks a lot he's doing a very good job
4:42
how's he
