These are a fabulous length on me
0:02
I actually, I don't hate them. Oh my God. I got them on
0:12
Hi everyone, it's Karen from the Georgie Grandma. Hope everybody's feeling well today
0:17
Today I've got an Hilara try on. Now Hilara is an active wear and casual wear brand
0:25
and they sent me a few pieces of their clothing to try
0:29
and show you. And in exchange, you can get a 15% discount on full price items and the code is
0:39
Georgie if you want to use that. I will put all these things in the description box below as
0:44
well as the links to the items I'm trying. Now it is active wear and it is stretchy. This is
0:50
affordable clothing and I'm quite surprised at the quality. It is decent quality. Now I didn't need
0:57
some new things for the gym so I thought it would be good to get them but I think some of these
1:02
pieces can be worn outside of the gym as well which was what I really liked about so like always
1:09
I'll show you what I've got and then we'll try it on and we'll see what it looks like on me
1:14
so the first item is some high-waisted pocketed straight-leg casual pants I got them in a
1:22
this color is called a deep tea brown which looks more purplied to
1:27
me. They come in a size extra small, which is a 4 to 6, and they go up to an extra large
1:33
which is a size 20, and they do come in 15 other colours. They did have these in Petit
1:40
regular and tall. I got them in petite. For anybody who doesn't know me, I am 5'4
1:47
I'm a size 18 to 20, and I do have a large stomach. So I like to show the clothes so you can get
1:52
an idea of what they look like on somebody with a figure like mine
1:57
So this is what they look like. They've got some four buttons down the front
2:03
They don't open. These are pull on and they are stretchy. They do have a waistband
2:10
They've got pockets in the front. And they do have pockets on the back as well
2:17
They are straight-legged. They are quite, I'd say they were quite wide at the bottom
2:23
I've got these in a size XL. and they are polyester and elastine
2:31
So we'll try them on and we'll see what they look like. So this is what these look like on
2:36
They are a little bit long for me and I do have them pulled quite high up
2:42
So they are a little bit on the long side even though they are petite
2:47
But I think these would be really nice as not Jimway. I think you could actually wear these out
2:55
These are actual pockets in the front as well. So if they had a higher, a little bit of a wedge heel on, they would be fine
3:04
They're really good quality. They are very stretchy. I'm not wearing shapewear because I thought with gym wear, casual wear kind of thing
3:13
you probably wouldn't want to wear shapewear. So this is a true look of what I actually look like without the shapewear
3:22
You can see, they do skim nicely over the stomach. They're not too tight
3:27
They look okay on the back. I probably wouldn't want to wear them with anything tucked in
3:33
if I'm not going to wear a shapewear because I think I would look, I would feel a little bit self-conscious
3:39
But I do really like the pants. I think they are nice
3:45
It's a casual way. I think they would be really comfortable and I do really like the colour
3:51
And like I say, there are lots of other colours and a good size range with her laura
3:57
The second pair I'm going to try a pair of gene-like trousers
4:02
And these are Hilara magic, high-wasted crossover jeans. They are listed as super flare and they are stretchy
4:11
These are the washed denim lake blue colour and they also come in a black
4:16
They're cotton, polyester and elastane and coming sizes extra large to a 4X
4:23
So 16 to a 28. and this is what these look like
4:28
They've got the crossover detail at the waistband. They are fairly stretchy, not hugely stretchy
4:35
They have pockets in the front, which are real pockets, and pockets in the back
4:41
And they do have a flared bottom. So let's see what they look like on
4:46
Now, I think I could have sized up in these jeans. I have got them on, but it was a little bit of a struggle
4:53
and they do feel really, really snug. So I think I would have sized up in these
4:59
These are the 1X, so I think I could have getting away with the 2X
5:05
I don't mind the flare. These are a lovely length on me, because I'm only 5 foot 4
5:11
they are a really good length. I could get away with wearing trainers with those
5:16
And I've never really worn flare trousers since the 70s, but I do think they look quite nice
5:22
but like I see, they are quite fitting. I like the waistband on them
5:28
I think that is a nice waistband, and I like the pockets. It's what it looks like from the side
5:34
You can see they are very, very snug. And I actually think they look quite nice on the butt as well
5:41
I like the shape of them. So I definitely think I would wear these in the next size up
5:47
But if you're looking for a nice, stretchy, comfortable pair of jeans, I think these might just be what you looking for They are quite nice Now next are some Hilara black jeans that do have a button and a zip
6:02
And I also got these in the extra lodge. So I'm a bit worried that these won't fit
6:08
These say Hilara Magic mid-rise butt cut. These ones are black and you could get them in Lake Blue denim
6:17
which was the same colour as the last pair I tried on. They are cotton and polyester and elastane
6:23
And again, these come in an extra small, so a 4 to 6, right up to a 3x, which is 24 to 26
6:31
So we'll have a go and see if we can get these on. So again, these are really tight
6:39
I'm quite surprised I actually got them fastened. They are fastened, but they are really tight on me around the waist
6:46
So I probably could have sized up again. I think the button in the zip probably doesn't help the fact
6:54
I like the pockets. I mean, I can breathe in them. It's just I don't think they would be comfortable to wear for a long time
7:03
So definitely the next size up. These ones are a little bit longer
7:08
so I don't think I would get away with trainers with these. I think I would have to wear a little bit of a heel
7:13
But I suppose if you really liked them, you could actually get them taken up
7:18
And as these are straight legs, that probably wouldn't be too difficult
7:23
They feel really nice on. All of the Hilara clothes, I have to see, feel really good quality
7:30
Really nice. That's what it looks like from the side. So you can see, I'm absolutely bursting in these trousers
7:40
Again, I think it's a net gives you a butt in nice shape
7:45
And it's got the pockets in the back. And because they're stretchy, they are a really nice fit
7:53
apart from the fact that they're slightly too tight around the waist. But, yeah, again, I think they're another really nice pair of jeans
8:00
if you're looking for something like that. Don't forget you've got the 15% off if you want to go over and have a look
8:07
So this next pair of pants, when I took it out of the bag
8:11
I'm just going to step back so you can see these. I thought they're never going to fit me
8:17
These are yoga pants. I thought that literally they offer a child
8:24
I thought my granddaughter could fit into those. And I looked at the size and they are in Excel
8:33
So these are seamless flow, super high waist, tie-dye yoga leggings. These are a fossil grey and they do come in another two colours
8:44
They come in sizes extra small, which is an eight. and they go up to an extra large which is a size 16 so these are a size 16 now I'm an 18 to 20 so
8:55
these are probably going to be tight if I can get them on at all they are 78% nylon and 22
9:02
elastine so I'm going to give them a go but if they don't fit obviously I'm not going to show
9:11
them they've got an elasticated little bit in the butt there I'm assuming that
9:17
That's to give you, was that the front? No, that's the back
9:23
Supposedly they give you a little bit more shape and it does have an elasticated waistband
9:30
They are stretchy, but let's have a look. Oh my God, I got them on
9:37
So let's just show you. They are very, very stretchy, obviously. That's what they look like
9:43
They are extremely fitting. and these are a size 16. Maybe if they have a larger size
9:51
in a different style, they might look okay. But I don't think I would even wear these
9:58
at this size to do yoga outside of the house. I may wear them in the house
10:04
They have a nice, high waistband, very stretchy. You can see I'm not wearing shapewear
10:11
That's what they look like from the side. They are really, really close fitting
10:15
and I like the, they've got like a ribbed detail down the side
10:20
They actually feel really nice on. And these are a really nice length for me
10:25
They're not too long. I'll turn around and show you the butt
10:31
They do not leave a lot to the imagination. I definitely feel I couldn't wear these outside of the house
10:40
But like I say, the next size up would probably be okay
10:45
I don't think they did it in this style, this print, but there may be some other ones on the Hilaro website
10:52
that are a bigger size. And again, they are really good quality
10:57
and I do like the tie-dye print, but they don't leave anything to the imagination
11:03
But yeah, nice for doing yoga in the house. So the next item is another kind of yoga pant
11:11
and these are flared yoga pants, and they are in a nice
11:14
These are called Light Asia, this colour. And you can see they've got the crossover waistband
11:21
which I think is quite nice. I'll just tuck that in. I do quite like that crossover waistband
11:28
I'll just read you what it says about these. These are high-wasted crossover flare yoga leggings
11:35
Now, I'm not sure if people actually wear fared yoga leggings. Let us know in the comments below if that is a thing
11:41
I don't do yoga, so I'm not sure. but they are I love the color and I love the style of them These come in petite regular and tall and I got them in petite They come in a size extra small 4 to 6 to extra large which is a size 20
11:58
and they do 14 other colours as well as this one, and they are polyester elastine
12:05
And I got these in a size extra large. I think I've got everything in an extra large
12:10
So they are just plain, they don't have pockets on them or on the back
12:15
and they do have the flared bottom. So hopefully these will look better
12:20
than the ones I've got on. So these ones feel a lot nicer on
12:25
than those last ones. The last ones are definitely too tight on me
12:29
These are a really nice fit. Again, I don't think I would wear these
12:34
outside of the house unless I had a long top on to cover my stomach
12:38
because it doesn't leave kind of a lot of the imagination when they're tight like this
12:44
when they're kind of a leg in type of thing. And I definitely couldn't took anything in
12:51
I just wouldn't feel comfortable. But I love the colour. The feel really nice
12:57
These are actually a really nice length on me as well. I could get away with trainers in these
13:03
which is just as well if you want to exercise in them. They are not as fitting as the other ones
13:11
I do like this crossover. design at the waist, I think that's really nice
13:18
That's what they look like from the side and from the back
13:22
I don't think there is as flattering from the back as the ones that have the pockets on
13:27
but I think it would be more likely to exercise in these ones
13:31
than just go out casually, you know, shopping in them. Well, personally, I wouldn't go out shopping in them
13:38
Unless I had something long on, like I say. But yeah, they are really nice quality again
13:44
They feel lovely, they've got a nice feel to them, and I think it's exercise pants, they really work
13:51
The next ones I got, I really like the look of these ones, and these aren't, I'd say these
13:57
are more casual way, or, you know, going out for a walk, something like that, and these are, again
14:05
stretchy waist, no buttons or anything, they've got pockets. They have a zip pocket on there, which does..
14:14
open um it's only a very shallow pocket but you could maybe get your keys in there if you were
14:21
going going out unless they're too tight you wouldn't be able to fit your keys in and um they do have a
14:28
seam down the front so what it says about these high wasted multiple pockets slim pants
14:37
these are in reddish brown and they only seem to have this color in this style they are polyester
14:44
elastic and the sizes again from extra small size 4 to an extra large size 20 so we'll try these
14:54
and see what they look like now i really like these i think these are really nice sorry if the lights
15:01
a bit weird the sun's just come out these are a fabulous length on me if you're any taller they'd probably
15:08
be ankle grazer style uh but i really like that length i love this zip pocket
15:14
and it's got like a detail here, a seam. I think because these for me would be more
15:23
I would go shopping in these. I would probably wear shapewear with these
15:29
So if I wanted to wear a shorter top, I could because you can't see my stomach a little bit in them
15:35
Not that I'm saying that's a bad thing, but for me personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable showing this off
15:41
like I do sometimes as jeans when I put a belt on
15:45
But these trousers are really lovely. They are so comfortable. That's what they look like from the side
15:53
So you can see, the stomach does look a bit big. Again, I think pockets on the back would have made them a little bit more flattering
16:02
So I would possibly have to wear something that was a little longer
16:06
if I was going to go shopping in them. But I do really like these
16:11
I suppose I could have tried them in a larger size to see what they look like if they're not quite so fitting
16:18
But I quite like that fitting feel of them. You feel a little bit supported
16:24
But yeah, I've got a seam down the side and a seam down the front
16:29
I really like those. I think they're really nice. I think they could be a very smart, casual pair of trousers
16:37
So I've still got two more items to show you. And I did get something that was a little
16:41
bit out of my comfort zone. And these are the what I call
16:45
dungarees, but the website calls them overalls. So I'll just read what it says. It says casual
16:53
overalls flared with an adjustable strap. These are Mountain Spring, which I would say was like a bluey grey
17:01
colour, but they do come in nine other colours. They come in sizes extra small
17:05
so size 4, up to extra large, which is a size 20. You can get these
17:10
in a jogger style dungary as I would call them which is elasticated at the bottom
17:17
these ones are flared and they are polyester elastane so we'll just see what these look like on
17:24
okay let's have a look I actually I don't hate them they are quite long
17:33
so if I was going to wear them with sandals or trainers
17:39
I would have to have them taken up because they are quite long You can see they very wide which goes all the way to the bottom It got some pleating detail here which kind of hides the stomach It does have pockets here
18:00
and it's got a big pocket in the front, and these straps are adjustable. I've got it on the middle
18:09
button but that's where I could move it up a little bit and do you know what I don't
18:14
actually mind them I don't know if I would wear them unless I was on holiday I
18:21
think wearing them around the house they are really comfortable that's what they
18:26
look like from the side I'm not sure if I look a little bit pregnant it doesn't
18:32
kind of skim it does kind of bulge out but I think if movies I was wearing shapeway
18:38
That wouldn't look quite so bad. That's what they look like from the back
18:43
Again, with pockets on the butt, it may look a little bit more flattering. I love the colour
18:48
One thing about Hilara, they do do a lovely range of colours in their clothing
18:53
And these are definitely comfortable. I think on holiday, they might be okay
18:59
Maybe it's with a little white t-shirt underneath. What do you think
19:03
I know in the comments below, do I look like a children's entertainer
19:08
I do feel a little bit like that actually. But they honestly, they are so comfortable
19:13
and they're like a, they feel like a ribbed material. I think they say there's waffle material on the website
19:20
But yeah, they do come in a lot of other different colours. And maybe the jogger style with the elasticated bottoms
19:27
may have been better for me with us being short. So it might be worth me looking into that
19:33
But I'm not sure. I'm not 100%. What do you think? So for the last item, I got a top
19:43
They do actually do dresses as well on Hilara. They're more like sports, you know, like active wear dresses
19:49
So I thought I would try the top. And it is a navy crossover top
19:55
It is a fixed crossover and it's got like a roost detail on the side
20:02
It's got a cap sleeve. I'll just read you what it says about this
20:05
It says v neck cap sleeve, crossover, roost. work blouse. This is in dark sapphire and it also comes in seven other colours
20:15
Comes in sizes extra small, four to six, up to three XL, which is the size 26. And the material is
20:22
polyester and elastane. All of the stuff has got elastane in so it gives you a stretch because
20:28
it is, you know, active wear, casual wear, you want to be comfortable in it. So I'll try this
20:34
on and let's see what that looks like. By the way, I got these dunga
20:38
or casual overalls inner size XL and this top in a size XL too so I've got everything
20:45
in a size extra large now I quite like the style of this top again it is a little bit on the
20:51
snug side so I could have probably sized up and out I've just trying it on with my own
20:55
jeans here I love the colour I do like a navy and it does feel like a work colour I
21:03
feel like I should be working in a vets or something with this on and so maybe in a
21:08
lighter colour it might not have looked so worky like. I quite like the length of the sleeve
21:14
Maybe it could have been a little bit longer so I don't show off these bits. I love the
21:19
wrap over bit so you could play around with that and make the V a little bit deeper
21:25
I like this Russian on the side. I think that's quite flattering. That's what it looks like
21:30
from the side so you can see it is quite fitting and I think a larger size would have been
21:35
better and that's what it looks like from the back. So it's just a nice plain crossover worktop, which would be very comfortable to wear
21:46
And all of the Hilara clothing, the material is quite breathable. So I don't think you would get too hot in it during the summer months if we ever get any summer
21:56
But like I say, this does come in different colour. So if you didn't want to look quite so work-like, it might be better in a different colour
22:04
But yeah, I definitely like it. And again, the quality is really nice
22:08
So those were all of the things that I had to show you that came from Hilara
22:14
Thank you so much to Hilara for sending me these to show you
22:18
I definitely think the website is worth you going to have a look at
22:22
particularly if you are a leggings and t-shirt kind of woman. I think they've got a huge range on there for you to choose from
22:32
The prices are really affordable and like I say, they're really good quality
22:36
They come in about five to seven working days So just bear that in mind
22:42
If you're wanting something in a hurry You're not going to get it in a hurry
22:46
You're going to have to wait a little bit for it So you know order well in advance
22:50
For when you actually want to start wearing it But I do like all of the pieces
22:55
I just think some of the size and on them for me Was a little bit off
23:00
That is because I do have a large stomach So that is going to make a difference
23:05
but like I say you could wear shapewear with it and it would make it look a little bit more streamlined
23:10
but definitely I will be wearing some of those outfits I really liked the brown pants with the zip
23:17
and I liked those those purpley kind of pants that I tried on first I thought they were really nice as well
23:24
and we're not sure about the dungarees so remember there is a 15% discount code
23:30
the discount code is Joddy I will put the link and the code
23:35
in the description box below if you want to go across and have a look so thank you so much for
23:40
watching that's all i've got for you today bye for now
