doing well. Today's video is my favorite makeup of 2023. Now, these are products that I've

used a lot. I have bought other makeup and used it, but these are the ones, these are

the items that I always come back to. And they're always in, if I go away for a weekend

they're always in my makeup bag. So I'm going to take you through them. I'm wearing most

of them today. So where I am wearing it, I will point that out. So you can have a look

and see what you think it looks like for yourself. Now we'll start with primer. I always use

a primer before my foundation. And the one I've used most in the last year is the Laquera

Vita Base Moisturizing Primer. This is a really nice primer. It's very creamy. I'm just taking

the lid off so you can see it. It's very creamy. Obviously Laquera, it's Aldi. It is

a dupe for Bobby Brown primer, which I've never used, but I am told it is a dupe. And

it contains vitamin B, shea butter, hyaluronate, I think is how you pronounce that. And it

has geranium and grapefruit extract in it. And it does smell very fruity. Some people

don't like a scent in their makeup. I don't mind that one. It goes on really nicely, very

creamy, smooths in well, and does help me make up stay on. So that is the primer that

I've used most of the year. Next is foundation. Now I've used three foundations in 2023. My

go-to one has been the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder, which is what I'm wearing today. It

is a light coverage foundation. So if you want something that's full coverage, this

probably isn't going to work for you. My skin's quite good. I don't have a lot of blemishes

and I don't have an awful lot of wrinkles. So I found the Light Wonder worked really

well for me. Again, it goes on nicely. I think this is in Fair. They do do it in quite a

few different shades. This one's Fair because I am quite pale. Goes on really nicely with

my fingers or a brush or a makeup sponge. So yes, that's the one I've used quite a lot

this year. There's actually very little left in it so I'm going to need to repurchase that

The other two foundations I've been using together and that is because I bought this

one. This is the Stila Hide and Chic foundation, which is a pump foundation. Now I did hear

about this from, I think it was another YouTuber and I can't remember who it was. It might

have been Hot and Flashy. She said it was really good so I picked it up and I think

I picked it up in the wrong shade. It is quite a liquidy foundation, quite runny and it's

very pale. It's even too pale for me this one. I just look like death warmed up. So

what I did was I bought this one from Aldi. This is a Lakura Cashmere Glow Luminous foundation

which I really like. It's a nice creamy foundation. Again, it's a pump one but it was too dark

So what I thought I would do, I mixed the two together and that actually worked really

well when I wanted a more fuller coverage. So say I was going out on a night time and

I wanted to have a little bit of a stronger makeup, those two together worked really well

I wish I'd bought that in the lighter shade because that would have done fine. It's just

the shade was too dark for me. But it is a nice creamy foundation. Stays on, well it

does with the Stila, stays on and just feels really nice. So those were the foundations

The next thing I've worn all year is a concealer and this one is the Lakura Cashmere Glow Luminous

concealer to go with the foundation that I picked up. This one is slightly dark and I

thought it was going to be too dark for my skin but it's not. It actually blends in really

well. It comes in a bottle with a little doe foot applicator. I just dab a couple of dots

kind of on the black circle bits I've got there and that works really well. I do have

a luminous white powder that I kind of just brush over the top of it just to kind of seal

it a little bit. But I do really like the Lakura concealer. Next it's blushes and I've

used two blushes this year. One of them is the Stila Complete Harmony Lip and Cheek Stick

and this is in Shea Lilium colour and it is just a twist up blusher stick. You can

use it on your lips as well. I have tried it, it's quite nice. But I do like the blush

I am wearing this today. So I'm wearing the Charlotte Tilbury foundation, the Lakura concealer

and the Stila Lip and Cheek Blush. I just think it gives a nice glow to the

cheeks. It's very creamy, goes on well with your fingertips. And the other blush I've used

I've used it up, I need to get another one. And this is the Revolution Super Dewy Liquid Blush

and this one is in Flushing For You colour I think. I don't think I've got any of this left

I think I'll try and get a little bit out on my finger. I managed to squeeze a tiny little bit

out there. You can see it there. It's just a very, it's quite pinky but it goes on really

nicely. It's got a little bit, maybe a little bit of a shimmer to it. But that is a really

nice blusher as well. So I would definitely repurchase that one. So those are the two

blushers I've been wearing this year. I also occasionally use a bronzer. I don't use it all

the time, especially with the darker foundations. But I find with the lighter foundations

it does need it. And I've been using this Revolution Glow Splendour Ultra Matte Bronzer

in Fair. That's what it looks like, the palette. And I like this one because it's got a mirror on

it and I actually use the mirror on it all the time. But that's what the bronzer looks like

And I have used that today just so you can get an idea. It just gives it a little

it warms the foundation up a little bit when you're fair. So yeah, I quite like that

I like that palette. Now I do usually wear a highlighter kind of over the top of my blusher

just here. And the one I've used most this year, again, is a Revolution product. And this is the

Revolution Cheek Kit. I've had this quite a long time. Now it does have four colours in it because

it's got contours here. But it's these two that I use for the highlighter. And I just feel like

they really give you a nice glow on your cheek. I have actually used these two as eyeshadows before

these bottom ones. But I do really like that one as a highlighter. The other highlighter that I've

been using this year is the Primark Rose Glow Highlighter, which is quite nice. I've got that

one on today. You can see it does just give a little shimmer. And that's what that one looks

like. I think they did have that in different colours as well. But I like the Rose Glow one

Next is eyeshadows. And these are the most important ones for me. I do love an eyeshadow

I have quite a lot of them, quite a lot of palettes. But I've tended to use just two palettes

this year. And I really, really love them. So my first one, which is my absolute go-to

eyeshadow palette, and I am wearing it today. You can probably guess, if you've watched my

channel before. And it is the Lakura Quad Eyeshadow Palette in Perfect Nude. I absolutely

love this palette. It does have a little mirror on it. It's got four shadows in. So it's got two

shimmers and two mattes. And I use this one, this one, and this one all the time. This one goes

on the above the crease. This one I put on the eyelid. And this one goes in the corner

just to darken it up. I just, I love it. I think that is just so versatile. You know

you can put it on lightly. You could put it on darker. Really nice, easy to pop in your makeup

bag, especially if you're going on holiday. I took that on holiday with us last year. I just love it

The only thing with Lakura products is, they don't always have them in stock. You'll find them

and then you'll never see them again. So I'm hoping they get this in again, as well as the

for me in the last year is the Collection Fiji Tropics palette. I'm not sure if Collection is a

Superdrug brand, but I definitely bought it in Superdrug. But I just think this is also a really

versatile palette. Just trying to get it open there. It's got some really pretty colours

And the ones I've used mostly are this one, the Peachy Shimmer, the Brown Shimmer

and the Brown Matte. You can see that I tend to wear the same colour makeup quite a lot. But I

have used the Green Shimmer as well, and the other two. In fact, I've used all. I don't think I've

used the pink one, but I have used the other ones. And I really like that. Again, it's a nice

small palette. Small enough to pop in your bag when you're going on holiday. Yeah, and the colours

just really pop. Really like those. The other eyeshadow that I use quite often, and this is just

for my eyelid, my mobile eyelid, is the Bella Pierre Champagne Shimmer eyeshadow. I really like

this one. Can't remember where this came from. I think it came in a beauty box that I used to get

a vegan beauty box, possibly. But this one, the colour is just so pretty. You can't really tell

from that palette. See on my finger there. It is just so, like, gold and shimmery. I put it on my

hand, but I don't think you'll see it very well. No, you can see it there, but I really love that

And that just really makes your eye sparkle, I think, anyway. Yeah, so those are the three

eyeshadows that I've used in 2023. Next is eyeliner. And I've used a couple of eyeliners

in the last year. I was using a black one. I don't think I used it at all in 2023. So I decided that

black was just a little bit harsh on my eyes, especially as you get older. So I got an Avon

gel eyeliner. This one is in Plumful. So it's like a purpley colour. Really creamy eyeliner

just goes smoothly on your eyelid. I do have that on today. I also got it in a dark blue

which I don't tend to wear as much. I usually go for the purple one. It just seems to work better

on my eyes for some reason. Now what I found was with the Avon eyeliners, any pencil sharpener

that I had in the house didn't work with it. I actually had to get the Avon pencil sharpener

to get that to sharpen properly. So if you're going to buy that, I suggest you get the sharpener

as well. But I just think that is a really nice eyeliner. The other eyeliner that I wear

is, I'm not sure how you pronounce this, it's 3ina. So 3-I-N-A, and it is a 24 hour eye stick

It's a push up one. Again, it is a nice creamy eye crayon type of eyeliner. And I tend to wear

that under my bottom lash. So not on the waterline, just underneath my eye. And it just goes on

really smoothly. Just gives my eye a little bit of definition, makes it look a little bit bigger

I don't put it all the way into the corner, because I think that makes your eye look a little bit smaller. I just kind of put it from the middle of where my pupil is, up to the corner

there where it meets the purple. I am going to try one of those cat flicks with the eyeliner one day

but as yet I haven't. But yeah, I really like that. They have this in lots of different colours

so I would like to get another few just to try them as maybe an eyeshadow crayon. But yes

I really like that one. This one is in 853, and it is a dark blue. Now my mascara. Mascaras and me

haven't had a very good relationship over the years. I've never really found one that worked

well on my eyelashes. My eyelashes, it's 60, are quite short and they're quite sparse, and

they come out quite easily. And a lot of the mascaras I've tried have stung my eyes. Even the

Body Shop Mascara stings my eyes. I've found some to be quite clumpy. I've found some that

don't tend to stay on the eyelash. They're kind of all over my cheek. So I have had problems with

mascara. But for the last year, this has been my go-to mascara, and this is the No-Boo Lash

I absolutely, I can't recommend this mascara highly enough if you're over 50. It's a specially

formulated mascara for women who are over 50. So for those who have finer lashes, shorter lashes

eyelashes that don't tend to grow anymore, this has been formulated for us. And I just absolutely

love it. I'll give it a couple of quotes. I don't know if you can see it very well on camera

but it does, it's supposed to lengthen and volumize, and I feel it definitely does that

It's the only mascara I've ever used, I'd say, in the last 10 years that has done what it says

It's got a nice, I think that's a, I think that's a bristle brush. I don't think it's a plastic

brush. I'm not entirely certain. I don't want to touch it because I'm going to get black all over

my hands. But this is in black, and I just think, like I say, I can't recommend it highly enough

I have tried a couple of other mascaras in the last year. I always go back to this one

always in my makeup bag, always take it on holiday. Just, yes, number one product for me

we're going on to lipsticks. So lip liner, I do use a couple of lip liners. This is the one I've

used the most, and it is the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lip liner, and it's in like a dark

pink color. It goes on quite nicely. It's quite creamy, doesn't smudge, it actually stays on

quite well. This has been the one I've mainly used this year. I actually got it in a kit for Christmas

maybe two or three years ago, and it came with a lipstick, a lip gloss, and another lip thing

I can't remember what the other lip thing did. It's kind of pepperminty, so it makes your lips

tingling. I think it's supposed to plump it. That's what it was. It was a lip plumper. So this came in

that kit, and I have been using that quite a lot. You can see it's quite worn down. The other

lip liner I've used this year is a liqueur product. I actually love the, you know, a lot of the liqueur

makeup is really good, but like I say, I don't want to get too attached to it because they never have

it in again. It's highly annoying, but this one was in the lip kits that they had out earlier in

2023. I picked up three of their lip kits. Comes with a lip liner and a lip stain. Now I found with

it was a matte lip stain. It was in like one of these with the doe foot applicators

It was matte, and I'm not keen on a matte lipstick. It was very drying, but it was, it stays on

and it's quite nice if you add a lip gloss onto the top. I found that quite nice, but the lip

liners are really, really good. They are so creamy. This one is velvet, velvet sugar, velvety sugar

velvet sugar, this one is, and it is the one you have to sharpen. So I'm hoping the Avon sharpener

will sharpen it. It's like a pinky colour. They had two other colours as well, which one I think

is a nude one and one is a little bit darker, but I find that really creamy to put on, and it does
