Hi, we are planting the fall garden, fall winter garden, because our winter gardens will live until the spring here, fortunately for our growing season
0:09
Today we're going to plant carrots of two kinds of carrots. We're going to plant sweet peas because our grandson loves sweet peas
0:20
We've got three kinds of cabbage. We've got two kinds of spinach, mustard greens, kale, brussels sprouts, broccoli and cauliflower
0:29
flower, turnip greens, and radishes. So that's what we're going to be planting today
0:35
We're going to be planting in our raised beds. And then I've got a round raised bed over in the middle
0:41
that we're going to plant the carrots in. Carrots want that loose, loose soil. And they do really
0:47
well in those. So that's what we're going to be doing. This is a high raised bed. I have some
0:52
back issues And so a friend of ours built this forest It not all dirt We did some hugiculture are under their limbs and leaves and chunks of logs that had fallen down in a storm So it going to be nourishing itself as time goes by Got a lot of
1:09
volunteer zineas coming up. I'm going to have to move out of the way. I cannot do anything about
1:15
my bell pepper. I want it to live as long as it can. So I'm going to leave it in the middle and then
1:20
pull it up when the frost comes. Same thing with my Scotchbonnet peppers over here in this bed
1:25
with the okra but I won't be planting anything falling there still got a few pumpkins making
1:30
and the okra is still producing so I'm just going to let that bed rest this winter and replenish it
1:35
but I'm not pulling them up until the frost kills them because those peppers are excellent
1:39
producers so now we're just going to get oh these uh a lot of people when they do the
1:44
script but gardening have strings and we did the first year but these little markers that my husband
1:50
put in there for me to know my feet I just go by them now so
1:55
Don't have to put new string out every year. So that's what I'm going to be doing this morning
2:01
Happy gardening to you
