So I just got this astronaut galaxy night projector, so I just want to do a quick unboxing and go ahead and test it out to see how well this really works
0:06
So this opens up real easy. And then right here, the first thing I'm going to go ahead and see is going to be this instruction manual
0:13
There's also going to be this nice foam piece just to go ahead and protect everything. And then right here, we're going to have the charging cable, and this is going to be USB-C
0:21
And all the way in the back is going to be the remote control, and here's a closer look at it
0:24
And then right at the bottom over here, we're going to have the actual astronaut itself
0:29
And so here it is. It's a lot bigger than I thought it would be It looks really cool
0:33
And I do like the fact that it's holding a moon here And also worth noting the head does go ahead and move
0:38
As you can see I can go ahead and just spin it around And that's because there's going to be a magnet at the bottom
0:42
And let me see if I can Yeah, I can go ahead and flip it upside down And it's not going to go ahead and fall
0:46
Now taking a look at the moon itself It is going to go ahead and be textured So it does feel real nice
0:50
And here's going to be the hands and the boots I do like the fact that it does have like these little rivets
0:54
And it's also colored differently It's going to be silver as opposed to the white exterior
0:58
everywhere around. There's going to be nothing at the back side besides a hole. And now over here moving to the bag, there are going to be a few buttons from
1:05
the power and then just to go ahead and switch to different modes and brightness. And then on this side we're going to go ahead and have the port for a USB-C and
1:13
right here is going to be the cable that attaches to the top of the helmet And there also is going to be this plastic bit that comes right off and here you can see in the center that where the projector lights come out from Now take a look at the top of the head there going to be nothing over here so here a closer look at the
1:25
remote and there's going to be a bunch of different buttons that I'll go over shortly but first things first is to go ahead and just add two AAA batteries and go ahead and turn this on
1:33
So I just added two AAA batteries to the remote control I also went ahead and connected this over
1:38
here to give it power and now I just want to face this upwards just so it goes and projects up
1:42
and see how it looks like. So here's the power button. So here's a closer look at the astronaut projector
1:48
It looks really cool. And I just want to go ahead and turn it on and go over all the different buttons and features it has
1:52
And now to turn it on, we just press this button and it goes ahead and lights up
1:56
So right now the nebula is on, the moon is on, and so are the stars as you can see over here
2:01
And to go ahead and actually turn things off individually, we can press this button to turn the stars off
2:05
We can press this button to turn the nebula off. And as for the moon, we can't turn that off
2:10
The only thing we can do is change the colors. So there's going to be seven different color options. So right now it's going to be like a hot pink
2:15
And then it turns into like kind of like an orange-ish to a blue
2:20
to a white or a cream That's more of like a blue-white
2:26
a red orange And then back to pink. And that's everything as far as the moon goes. Now this big button over here is going to be for the timer
2:35
So if we press it in the middle this is going to go ahead and set it for one hour If we press it to the right that be a timer for two hours but if we just want to go ahead and cancel it we can press the x button on the left and now the timer is canceled all right so now to mess with all the other buttons
2:48
and for starters i do want to go ahead and turn on the stars it's going to be with this button here
2:52
and one thing to note is that right there this is going to be the stars and i can't go ahead and
2:56
mess with any of the settings for the stars they're always going to go ahead and fade in and fade out
3:00
as you see over here the only settings i can mess with are going to be with the nebula so let me go
3:05
ahead and turn on the nebula with this button here and there you can see it's on and it's going to be
3:09
spinning around with the blue color and if i want to go ahead and switch colors i can press g for
3:13
green or r for red and i can also go ahead and change the colors a little bit more too so this
3:20
button flash it's going to be nebula color switch so when i press it it's going to go ahead and mix
3:24
the different colors and right here it's going to be a mixture of green and red it looks really cool
3:28
then there's red and blue that this is my favorite one i love this one and then blue and green and
3:34
Now, finally, a mixture of all three colors and then back to the beginning
3:39
And if we want to go ahead and do that automatically, we can just press this button. Then we look color changing mode and it's going to go ahead and just slowly fade into one and to another
3:48
And this looks really mesmerizing. I really do like it. And yeah, it's out of this world
3:53
You can just look at it and just be amazed basically. But there other settings we can go ahead and do too And it going to be mess with the speed and the brightness So right now it as fast as it can be So when I press it it going to go ahead and completely pause
4:07
It's going to stop. But that's only going to be for the nebula. As you see, the stars are still going to be fading in and out
4:13
Again, I can't mess with any of those settings. When I press it again, the nebula is going to go ahead and start to rotate slowly, and then medium, and then fast again
4:21
And now for brightness. and to be able to see brightness a little bit better I'm gonna change it to one solid color
4:27
Which is gonna be blue and then right here this is as bright as it gets. I press the button
4:31
This is as dim as it gets This is medium and then back to bright and here you can see the whole cycle again
4:37
So overall I really disaster not projector and again One of the best parts about it is the fact that you can go ahead and rotate it
4:44
So it's not gonna be static because a lot of projectors They're just gonna be facing upwards
4:48
So you either have to go ahead and tilt them to the side or go ahead and prop them up But with this one, it's a lot easier to go ahead and move it
4:54
So if you don't want the lights to go ahead and be up on the wall like this, we can just go ahead and rotate the head
5:00
And now it's gonna be on a different wall and here's a further look at it at the hallway and it looks really nice
5:06
It's not only shining on the wall in front of me But it's also getting up up on top of the ceiling even though I'm facing it at like an angle
5:13
But yeah If you're looking for a projector as a gift or if you're looking for a projector for yourself
5:17
And you want something pretty versatile definitely check out this astronaut one
