You made fire in there

over property. People don't like being
0:05
photographed from drones either.

Hey up and welcome to the channel. Today
0:16
we're having a look at FCC Environmental
0:19
just on the outskirts of Nottingly.
0:22
It was formerly trade B but say now it
0:26
is FCC from waste to resource
0:32
and this is a major UK facility
0:35
specializing in industrial waste
0:37
treatment. It features a waste transfer
0:40
station and solvent recycling, on-site
0:42
blending of secondary liquid fuel, a
0:45
comprehensive setup including tank
0:47
farms, distillation units, thermal
0:49
disorption and drum filling lines
0:52
enabling cradletograve waste management
0:54
of chemical wastes.
0:57
This NI center forms part of the UK's
1:00
environmental services known for its
1:03
physiochemical treatment, energy
1:05
recovery via fuel blending and high
1:07
compliance standards. So
1:11
we are here at the start at the car park
1:15
just across the road from the facility.
1:20
Let the uh camera out to have a look.
1:27
It's on the edge of your car park.
1:30
You have got your signage
1:33
FCC from waste of resource.
1:36
Driveway in. You got your height
1:38
barriers on your car park entrance and a
1:41
gated car park as well with another
1:43
height barrier in case you get past the
1:44
first one. So, we'll head up to the main
1:47
entrance
1:50
and see what we can see from there.
1:55
and potentially fly the drone over too.
1:58
[Music]
2:15
Right. So, we are up at the main
2:17
entrance now.
2:19
Having a look what we can see from here.
2:25
They haven't got the signage on either
2:27
side of the road. There you go. And on
2:29
the just see on that one it says trade B
2:32
still on it. Can't replace the full
2:34
signs. Just put their own plards over
2:36
the top.
2:39
We got your
2:42
information about the site
2:44
with your numbers on it.
2:48
I'll have a little bit closer look.
2:54
[Music]
2:58
You've got your pedestrian entrance just
3:01
in there. Another gate to get through. I
3:03
think security is in that hut.
3:06
And you got your main gate to the
3:07
compound.
3:12
They have got a
3:14
way bridge somewhere on facility. I
3:17
think it is just in front of us.
3:19
There is no public right of way and no
3:22
motorcycles or pedal cycles are allowed
3:24
in. So I will be keeping outside
3:30
[Music]
3:34
in that building there to our right just
3:37
as you're coming in the facility is the
3:39
training center.
3:45
See all the tank farms
3:48
down there?
3:51
I've got some more just behind the gate.
3:55
We'll cross the road and see what the
3:57
else we've got over this side.
4:11
We've got a gentleman down there on the
4:12
fork left. is high visit and your way
4:15
bridge is just here with a barrier.
4:19
Is that to see how much how how much
4:22
they've taken off site or how much
4:23
they've brought on.
4:25
They have got the gird at the top with
4:28
the height restriction on it as well.
4:31
Big tankers that come in. There is some
4:33
gentlemen in the room just to our left.
4:36
They say they're leaving me alone. I'm
4:38
going to leave them alone. I'm not going
4:40
to go bother them.
4:46
Move the bike a little bit close to
4:47
where I am.
4:57
When I fly the drone over,
5:01
if I fly the drone over and the airspace
5:03
is clear, so I'm not going to go over
5:05
any of the tanks. So, I'm responsible,
5:08
but I'm not going to tell the people on
5:09
site that.
5:13
Just in front of the training center,
5:18
they do have a sign telling you about
5:20
your PPE
5:22
and no excuses.
5:25
Luckily, I won't need PPE cuz I'm not
5:27
going on their site.
5:41
We have got all the CCTV though.
5:45
What we can see there's one,
5:47
two,
5:49
there's another one just on the lamp
5:50
post.
5:52
Three, and that's just at this front
5:53
entrance. There's probably more that I
5:56
cannot see.
6:01
Luckily, from where we are here,
6:04
we have got good visibility
6:07
over the top
6:10
of the facility.
6:12
So, there's not much really going on
6:14
from what we can see here.
6:17
So, I'm just going to check on drone
6:19
assist.
6:21
If the airspace is clear, it is time to
6:25
check into the skies.
6:27
So FCC,
6:30
let's have a look what you've got hidden
6:32
through the back.
6:37
Right, we are up at 20 m.
6:41
I said we're not going to go over any of
6:42
the tankage. We're just going to stay
6:43
over the open areas. There's your
6:46
training center.
6:52
Your way bridges there.
6:56
some more of the office facilities
7:01
all the way back over there. We'll go
7:03
have a look at that shortly.
7:07
So, we'll go straight up and have a look
7:08
at the tank farms. We'll go a bit higher
7:10
up.
7:16
Some do look a bit rusty, though.
7:33
That is quite an interesting facility.
7:35
There's loads of
7:38
tanks just stood about. Is he moving
7:40
some IBC's down there? We'll have a look
7:43
when we go a bit further down.
7:54
[Music]
8:09
IBC's
8:11
pallets.
8:15
We've got a tanker
8:17
loading or unloading some IBC's. We'll
8:20
zoom in a bit and see what we can see.
8:25
Not sure if he's loading it or sucking
8:28
all the stuff out of it.
8:36
[Music]
8:45
It's right next to the canal as well.
8:52
[Music]
9:00
We got some more IBCs out there.
9:12
We got security here now.
9:18
Think he's leaving.
9:21
There's the rest of the offices.
9:25
[Music]
9:36
[Music]
9:48
Big
9:50
tail.
10:05
So, could you just say something to me?
10:06
But it seems quite positive giving it
10:08
thumbs up. So
10:13
he knows we're not doing anything wrong.
10:17
Got another way bridge stairs going up
10:20
maybe to have a look in the top hatches
10:22
of tankers.
10:43
Loads of open space though.
10:45
[Music]
10:49
We'll come back again.
10:51
See what's going on out here.
10:53
[Music]
11:03
[Music]
11:05
all your forklifts.
11:08
There's your some There's your tanks
11:10
again from the beginning.
11:19
[Music]
11:27
[Music]
11:44
Got some more
11:47
tanks. We've got some Is that an
11:48
incinerator where the chemicals come up
11:51
the chimneys?
12:00
[Music]
12:15
[Music]
12:20
Just having a little snoop around with
12:21
the drone then seeing what there was.
12:31
Some more old buildings over here
12:36
that has got some
12:39
holes in the window there.
12:45
Look like quite old buildings though.
12:49
Can't take the drone any further cuz I
12:51
will lose sight of it.
13:00
me.
13:13
I know.
13:27
[Music]
13:43
Hello.
13:46
What are you doing in there?
13:48
going over property.
13:50
Yep.
13:53
One second. Just bring it back. It's a
13:56
bit dangerous when it's in the air.
13:57
Yeah.
14:14
[Music]
14:26
So, what you doing? What you Why you
14:28
videoing over there?
14:29
Just having a quick look. Being a bit
14:30
nosy, making a little video on the
14:32
place.
14:38
Landing.
14:40
[Music]
14:41
There we go. It's down now. Yeah. make a
14:43
little video on the place.
14:45
Why?
14:45
Found it a little bit interesting.
14:46
Something a bit different.
14:48
Yeah,
14:49
it's a private project going on. So,
14:51
that's about it.
14:51
This is private land as well.
14:53
This isn't out here. It's public.
14:55
Oh, that's public.
14:56
Yeah, that's why I'm not coming in.
14:57
That's why I'm sitting out here. I
14:57
know, but you're flying the drone over
14:59
private land. That's all.
15:01
Okay.
15:01
Yeah.
15:02
Is that an issue?
15:02
Yeah.
15:03
Why?
15:04
It's just cuz we get a lot of trouble
15:05
here. That's why.
15:06
I'm not causing you any trouble.
15:07
No.
15:08
So, we're not allowed to fly it over the
15:09
top?
15:09
No.
15:10
Why not? Like it's
15:12
private land.
15:13
Yeah. But the airspace doesn't belong to
15:15
you. It's governed by the CIA.
15:18
Yeah. Have you got a license for it?
15:19
I've got everything I need to fly it.
15:21
Okay then.
15:22
So, have you got a license for your car?
15:24
Yes, I have.
15:25
There we go then.
15:26
Yeah.
15:27
So, so I would fly it if I didn't.
15:29
Yeah. Just just like people flying the
15:32
drones up.
15:34
Okay. Well, so I've done I'm going to
15:36
put it up again and take some more
15:37
pictures of like more the tanks as well.
15:41
take pictures of other tanks.
15:44
We might go viral in that.
15:47
Yeah, it's all right then, but just bear
15:50
in mind you might be intruding on other
15:52
people's private property when you do
15:53
it. Like people don't like being
15:55
photographed from drones either.
15:57
Well, does it say that about like
15:58
gliders and helicopters that go over?
16:01
Yeah.
16:01
No, they don't like being photographed
16:02
from helicopters as well or hot air
16:04
balloons.
16:05
It's a bit different that, isn't it,
16:07
though?
16:07
Not really. Someone could in the hot air
16:09
balloon come over quite low. Take a
16:11
photo with a telescopic lens.
16:15
Fair enough.
16:16
So everything I'm doing is lawful. So
16:18
there's nothing to worry about.
16:20
So I enjoy your day.
16:23
[Music]
16:33
So don't like it private property. So
16:35
guess what?
16:37
It's going up again.
16:39
Take off.
16:41
And we'll take some more pictures of the
16:43
tank.
16:46
Right, we're in.
16:52
It's over the top again.
17:00
Might as well take some pictures.
17:08
I think security knew what it was about.
17:10
So there on public, nothing I can do.
17:15
All right, we have got a
17:18
lobby on the way bridge.
17:23
So they've put the barrier down now. So
17:25
the lobby can't just leave. It has to
17:27
wear bridge. That was one that we saw
17:28
getting loaded or unloaded at the end of
17:32
the facility.
17:35
Apparently they do get a lot of trouble
17:37
here.
17:49
So we'll end that video there.
17:50
Landing.
17:51
We will catch you in the next one.
