Today I'm taking a look at this ultra lightweight sleeping pad by Trekology
0:03
They went ahead and sent this to me. So I just want to do a quick setup and give my first impressions of this
0:07
So it does come in a nice drawstring bag. And we also do have a handle on the side to make it easier to carry
0:13
And so on the inside we're going to get some booklets and also this puncture repair kit
0:17
But of course the most important thing is going to be this sleeping pad. So it does have this elastic over it just to make it nice and neat
0:23
And here's the sleeping pad itself. So I don't have a pump for this so I'm just going to manually blow in
0:28
at this end over here so this part just comes right off and I can blow through here and the
0:34
air is not going to come out and when I want to release all the air when it's time to basically
0:37
stop it I can just pull this here so let's see how long it takes to pump this and I'll go ahead
0:42
and set a stopwatch too all right I'm in at 39 seconds and this is what we get and here it is
0:47
so this is going to be of course extremely lightweight now one thing worth noting is this
0:51
is going to be completely flat so when it is time to use it you are going to need some sort of pillow
0:55
And I actually do have an inflatable camping pillow too, so I can actually use that in combination with this
1:00
So this sleeping pad does look pretty long, so I think I'm going to fit nice and comfortable
1:05
And let's see. Alright, here's my feet all the way at the end
1:09
There, so you can get like a better look. And now as far as my head goes
1:14
Yep, my head touches the back. So I fit perfectly fine over here. And I actually do have more space up top
1:19
So I have maybe about six inches or so of space. So if you were a little bit taller
1:25
then you probably would be able to fit. And this is, I'm six foot and I do fit comfortably
1:29
Now one thing worth noting is because the sleeping pad isn't like the widest, if you sleep on your back
1:34
your hands aren't gonna be able to be on the pad, then probably just roll off to the sides like this
1:38
Now I not a back sleeper I a side sleeper so I not gonna have this problem And this is how it would look like if I was off to the side and does it feel comfortable I mean yeah I on hardwood floor and this is definitely
1:51
a lot more comfortable than if I was without this just on the wooden floor itself and here I can even
1:56
push in and I think yeah if I push hard enough I am able to reach the floor but of course just
2:06
with my weight which is about 190 pounds I don't reach the capacity of it and here's what it looks
2:12
like to the side and if I put my knees even more of course I'm kind of going to hang off and I can
2:19
go a little bit more back but then I'll roll over a little bit so I think the perfect angle would
2:23
kind of be like this and then of course I'm going to have to have a pillow as well too and yeah this
2:28
is going to be a lot better now and if you really want to you could also use the sleeping pad as a
2:31
chair if you go ahead and lean it against something and now because most of the pressure
2:35
on the sleeping pad is my butt it does go ahead and touch the floor but I mean you probably
2:40
wouldn't be using it like this so when it's time to put this away I could just deflate it
2:45
from right on top over here and yeah that deflates pretty quickly
3:01
So overall I'm pretty happy with this sleeping pad. It was easy to set up, it was pretty comfortable and this is going to be a lot better for camping
3:12
than what I was using before which was just a yoga mat. And although it was thick and soft, I still didn't feel the most comfortable especially
3:20
when laying on my side and it took up a lot of space compared to this which doesn't take
3:24
up barely anything. Well yeah, that's a quick look at the Trekology Ultra Light Sleeping Pad
