LM deck sent me their electric bike so in this video I'm going to do a quick unboxing assembly
0:03
and test it out to see how well this works. So here's the big pieces we're going to have the
0:07
frame with the back wheel attached and I'm going to have to attach the handlebars, the front wheel
0:12
and then the battery and then I believe this is going to be a cover of some sorts and then we're
0:16
also going to have some other smaller things on this side including the pedals, this reflector
0:22
a bunch of different tools, this rubber cap, the charger, and finally the instructions. So here's
0:28
user guide itself this is what the bike is supposed to look like along with the parts
0:32
and these are the steps to get there. So in the meantime I put the battery to go ahead and charge
0:36
and right here we could see it's red and when it turns green unplug this and this is not to exceed
0:41
six hours of charging. So I started by attaching the handlebars to the body and a good tip here is to
0:46
just get the screws in and then afterwards worry about centering it and adjusting the handlebars
0:51
properly. Afterwards I attached the front wheel and I was confused at first at which way it should go
0:56
but I just looked at the back wheel and kind of followed the pattern there. Now it's time to install the pedals and make sure to use the correct one
1:02
So this is left and this is right and that correlates with this one here
1:09
And we can see we have to turn it clockwise to go ahead and tighten it. Alright, that's all set. And same thing on the other side
1:20
And this has to be turned counterclockwise to tighten it. Now it's time to install the mud guards and the longer piece is gonna go on the back and the
1:28
smaller piece goes in the front which is also gonna be screwed in together with this light
1:32
and then after moving the seat upwards I attached a reflector. So I didn't have the battery installed
1:37
at this point but I just wanted to test it out at my house real quick but I realized I made a mistake and I forgot to lock the handlebars to the body so this was kind of dangerous so make sure you don do that too And after screwing everything correctly here what a ride should look like
2:04
And now it's completely charged so I can go ahead and test it out. So I'm about to head over for a ride and the battery can be placed right inside here
2:13
And then just push down. And right here is going to be the locking mechanism
2:16
So let me get the key real quick. And this can be locked in place. Just like so
2:20
So now the battery can't come out. And then here's the battery level. So when I go ahead and press the button, it lights up
2:28
Fully green. So we know it's full. So now that it's turned on, we just hold the M button in the center
2:34
And now it's on. And here we can see how much power we have. how fast we're currently going and the mileage of the bike
2:50
So on the left side of the handlebar there's going to be two buttons. The top button is going to be for the light
2:54
So when I press it this lights going to turn on And we're also going to have a horn
3:07
and so on the right side of the handlebar is where we're going to shift so if we click here
3:16
it'll downshift and press it'll upshift some more things you should know about this e is who it meant for so this is supposed to be for people from 5 to 6 I 6 and I was able to ride comfortably
3:34
And this also has a max weight capacity of up to 330 pounds, which I was well below at roughly 190
3:43
Take two. Now the battery is supposed to take anywhere between 3 to 5 hours to fully charge
3:48
and it's supposed to give you a range of up to 20 miles. and the max speed is 22 miles per hour which I was able to surpass going downhill but when going
3:59
on flat plane I wasn't able to achieve it I was stuck roughly at 19.4 miles per hour and if I
4:05
started pedaling then I can go a little bit quicker than that 21 miles per hour so overall
4:10
the ride was comfortable except when I hit some potholes and then it got kind of bumpy and because
4:14
there was a rainstorm a few days before there were some branches all over the ground so they did
4:19
rebound and hit me a little bit but thankfully the bike was fine after I checked it. All right so I
4:24
finished and I thought I was going to run out of electricity but I actually still have some. I'm
4:30
about a two out of five bars so I have like 40% left. I end up going I believe this is 16 miles
4:36
on full electric and then the total time when I press it here ended up being an hour 17 minutes
4:44
and then it also displays other things as well too so here we could see the trip mile the vol
4:52
volume 35.3 current speed although current speed shows up here and then back to the time and there
5:01
and now to turn this off just hold the end button and it off and now i can turn this off and the battery pretty low so it time to charge it as well too so overall i had a pretty
5:17
good experience with this electric bike again this was my first time using an electric bike
5:21
and the only complaint i have would be the suspension on the front it felt good on the back
5:27
there wasn't really any uh cushion like i went over a pothole and then i did feel that but of
5:33
course if you're riding a bike you're probably not going to want to run over a pothole regardless but that was just a little thing and now at first i didn't know about the throttle it's actually
5:42
going to be on the right handlebar so i wasn't using it at all i was just increasing or decreasing
5:48
speed and then just pedaling and then when i realized the throttle that's where everything
5:52
changed because i can go full electric so i was just able to hold on to it and then it's going to
5:57
speed up and it makes like a kind of noise and you probably heard it in the other camera as well
6:03
too. As far as speed goes without me pedaling, it got maximum of 19.7 miles per hour on flat plane
6:10
and then it basically evened out at 19.4 miles per hour. If I was going downhill and if I was
6:15
pedaling more, then I got to the high 20s. I believe I got up to 26 miles per hour, but that
6:20
was also going downhill. And I picked a good day to ride the bicycle because it's nice and sunny
6:24
but there are a bunch of tree branches all over, so I want to check the condition of it. Now, these mud guards, I mean, they didn't really serve a purpose since there wasn't any mud
6:33
And as far as the battery goes, I thought it would get warm, but this surprisingly isn't warm
6:37
Now, it's been resting for about three minutes or so, and it feels fine to the touch
6:42
It's not heated or anything like that, so that's pretty good news. So I'll just wait a little bit and then put that to charge so I can use it for next time
6:51
But yeah, that's a quick look at the LM Dex e-bike
