The Ghost is a modern stealth ship that was not built by a big arms company with a huge budget, but by a small private firm. The vessel resembles a contemporary version of the Sea Shadow, and it also uses the SWATH design. On this ship, you can sip a cup of tea even in stormy weather, as the waves barely affect the ships with this design. The reason is that the two torpedo-like buoyancy pods are always fully submerged, and only thin struts connect them to the boat platform. The waterline area is minimized, which also makes the ship construction more challenging, because the whole propulsion system has to fit into these slender pods. That is twice the speed, and it is even being tested for 50 knots. The speed comes from two horizontal T53 shaft turbines, each with 2,000 horsepower. #army #military #navy #usarmy #usmilitary #usnavy #ukraine #militarytraining #veterans #marines #marinecorps #navyseals #specialforces #airforce #usairforce #army #military #navy #usarmy #usmilitary #usnavy #ukraine #militarytraining #veterans #marines #marinecorps #navyseals #specialforces #airforce #usairforce
