Just jumping up and down
0:06
here.
0:07
Preferably down. Thank you. Sorry. Okay.
0:13
Just that 40 minutes I spent on Franklin
0:15
Street with my teammates, my friends
0:19
just jumped up and down. Uh those 40
0:22
minutes of just being around on Franklin
0:25
Street for that win. There's nothing
0:26
like it. Yeah.
0:29
Best of my life.
0:32
My favorite
0:35
would be
0:37
going to do my sophomore year
0:41
last season. That was so cool.
0:46
The advice I would give to you guys
0:48
would just be to keep working and fall
0:51
in love with the process of getting
0:53
better. That's something I've really
0:54
learned over the years and that's one of
0:56
the most addictive things about this
0:57
game of basketball is just you know
1:00
chasing I feel like getting better
1:03
knows
1:10
what you off
1:13
you just continue to have fun every
1:15
single day enjoying every moment and
1:17
never take anything
1:21
that's talking But essential uh what you
1:25
can accomplish you know there's always
1:28
stuff that happened
1:30
before is always
1:34
enough for stuff to happen my best car
1:38
the biggest lesson I learned from
1:40
Carolina basketball is
1:43
honestly that you know it's going to be
1:45
hard something that coach Davis and many
1:48
other great for the last four But the
1:53
process, the things you experience here,
1:56
it feels
1:58
it carries a life.
2:00
I care deeply about this place. Uh I
2:03
care about my teammates. This is the
2:06
best of all my life and
2:21
somebody
2:33
remember the shot or whatever.
2:35
I
2:38
Heat. Heat.
2:52
Ladies and gentlemen, Elijah Davis.
3:04
>> All right. I mean, first I just want to
3:06
thank God, man. Um, I mean, the fact
3:09
that what he's done in my life, I never
3:12
really thought about coming here. I want
3:13
to create my own path and the things
3:16
that he's done in my life for it to lead
3:18
back here. I just want to shout out him
3:20
because you know he's really done a lot
3:22
for whoever is thinking about turning
3:24
their life to Christ now. I really
3:25
highly want you
3:35
first
3:38
man.
3:41
I appreciate y'all. you know, I
3:42
transferred and we still have the
3:43
relationship we have, man. Really means
3:45
the world to me that y'all are here. Uh,
3:47
you know, I never want this bond to end
3:49
and I appreciate y'all, man. Uh, my
3:52
coaches, uh, I I appreciate y'all, man.
3:55
I know, you know, being a coach's son
3:56
and everything, the head coach's son,
3:58
you know, it's kind of hard to coach me,
4:00
I guess, cuz still playing dad, but um,
4:03
I appreciate y'all. You know, when I
4:05
need to be yelled at, I get yelled at.
4:06
Um, I know I get a little crazy on the
4:08
bench, so thank you for uh, calming me
4:10
down.
4:12
So, I appreciate y'all. Where's Jonas?
4:15
Uh, Jonas, man, I appreciate you, man.
4:19
You changed my life for real. Like, just
4:21
the way you changed my body, the way you
4:22
change, you know, the way I look around
4:24
life, the way I appreciate changing
4:36
the way you know you're going to miss so
4:39
much.
4:40
Then, uh, my teammates,
4:43
y'all saw, you know, I got receive just
4:45
talking about y'all. Um, y'all mean the
4:48
world to me. Uh, each one each one of
4:50
y'all. Uh, this year has been the best
4:53
year of basketball. And it's all credit
4:55
to y'all. It's not about me. It's all
4:57
y'all. And I'm so glad that I got to be
5:00
a part of this. We got one more month uh
5:03
of being together.
5:13
I love you, man.
5:16
It's me. Thanks. Um, it's my little
5:20
brother. I don't know where he's at.
5:22
Just want to tell you, man. I love you,
5:24
bro. You know, you got so much ahead of
5:26
me when I came on to your soccer game.
5:29
You didn't play and then three games
5:31
later, you uh you started. I mean, this
5:33
is a testament of who you are and you
5:36
got
5:45
also shout too. She's Australia.
5:48
She's Yeah, she's Australian. So, um
5:52
she's studying marine biology and
5:55
everything. So, shouts her out. I love
5:57
you, Gracie. And I can't wait to
6:07
Lastly, my man
6:12
you uh I remember 5 years ago when I
6:15
went to college, I was like, "Man, I got
6:16
to get away from you. I feel like you
6:17
were yelling at me every single day."
6:21
And now I I can't think of, you know,
6:25
not being around me every single day,
6:26
every single moment. Mom, I my sophomore
6:29
year, you were the toughest years of my
6:30
life. and you kept me together like you
6:33
really did. I whenever I had college,
6:35
whenever I got without doing my answer,
6:36
he was right there when I was, you know,
6:39
going through myself off the court right
6:42
there the entire time. And the person
6:45
you are, the way you love this family,
6:46
you keep this family together. And I
6:49
appreciate you so much. I love you.
7:01
Lastly, Fox OG. Um, man, it's been
7:06
around. Uh, you know, we always talked
7:09
about this playing for you, man. We
7:11
never thought it was like going to
7:12
happen. And I'll never forget the day
7:16
that I was outside the dining hall in
7:17
this room and I called you and I said,
7:18
"I want to come home and be a target
7:20
here."
7:21
>> And used to be the best of my life.
7:35
just not even the coach you are with the
7:36
man you are. Um I know you didn't want
7:38
me to play basketball, but I wasn't like
7:41
there's nothing I wanted to do just to
7:43
be like you, man. I want to follow every
7:45
step of your way. I want to do
7:46
everything. I want to do everything that
7:49
you do. Um, if I'm half of you that you
7:52
are, you know, I know I'm going to be
7:53
all right because, you know, you you've
7:55
taught me everything that I know, you're
7:57
going to teach me everything that I'm
7:59
going have to learn in this world. And I
8:02
can't think of, you know, finishing out
8:04
my basketball career with my best
8:05
friend. And I'm just so thankful that I
8:08
got this opportunity with you. Um,
8:12
uh, love you, man.
8:15
Thank you. Number six, Eliza Davis.
8:34
Please welcome number seven,
8:38
Wisconsin.
8:51
It's our young nation and
8:54
I just want to say thank you. First, I
8:57
want to thank God for just having the
8:59
plan for me and, you know, putting me in
9:01
the right position possible. Of course.
9:03
Um, second, I want to give the biggest
9:07
thank you to my family. I I can't really
9:09
hug y'all right now cuz I might I might
9:12
fall out crying. Uh, I just want to let
9:15
you know that I love you all so much.
9:17
Uh, you guys have been my greatest
9:20
supporters, my greatest motivators, and
9:23
you've been my bestest friends. So, I
9:25
thank you so much for that. Uh, next
9:27
off, I got to thank my teammates, man. I
9:31
y'all boys are such a pivotal part of my
9:33
life. Uh most of you guys are new and
9:38
you guys all came here and accepted me
9:40
as one of your leaders, one of your
9:42
captains right away. And I just want to
9:44
just thank you so much for that. You
9:45
guys have helped me grow so so much. You
9:48
guys
9:55
here I am. Uh also give a happy senior
9:59
night to all other seniors in here.
10:09
The beauty about this is that you get to
10:12
be happy that it happened and not sad
10:13
that it's going away. Uh so I really
10:16
hope that you just get to enjoy it. And
10:18
I got to give a thank you to my former
10:19
teammates as well. It was my boy RJ's
10:21
day today.
10:30
You're a legend. The whole world knows
10:32
you're a legend and you are just like
10:35
these guys. You've instilled so much
10:36
confidence in me. You allow me to grow
10:39
and and you just allow me to become a
10:40
better basketball player. Um, and to the
10:43
coaches, man, to the coaches, y'all,
10:48
man, these these last four years I've
10:50
been in really, really tough spots. And
10:54
I'm very appreciative of y'all. Y'all
10:56
have y'all dragged me out some tough
10:58
times, man. Y'all have shown me ways to
11:01
persevere and y'all have given me ways
11:04
to grow each and every day. Coach Davis,
11:06
you took a chance on a 16-year-old kid
11:09
who was playing on some rain in
11:11
Wisconsin and you gave him a offer and
11:14
it was the best game that could happen
11:16
in my life.
11:26
I want to say thank you. Uh our
11:28
relationship over the f over the last
11:30
four years has grown so much and
11:34
uh you know it wasn't the greatest our
11:38
first year, but it continued to grow and
11:41
grow and you've just continued to put so
11:42
much belief and confidence in me over
11:45
these last four years that I'm just a
11:47
much better man now. than I was when I
11:50
first got here. You know, I got to give
11:51
a lot of credit to you, the rest of the
11:53
coaches said. Uh, I want to give a
11:55
special shout out to the man who
11:58
probably had the greatest Carolina
11:59
speech uh of Carolina history, Marcus
12:03
Ma.
12:13
Coach Paige, I miss all you guys, but
12:15
Coach Paige, you're not just like a
12:16
coach, man, but you've really became a
12:19
big brother to me, man. You uh you
12:21
you've put so much belief in me these
12:24
last four years. You you've stayed in
12:26
the gym with me. You
12:29
you brought me up when I was down, man.
12:31
You've done you've done so much in my
12:33
life in so such a short amount of time,
12:34
man, that I just have to say thank you,
12:37
man. I mean, everybody has their
12:38
foundation. represent
12:41
Foundation
12:48
last
12:50
to the University of North Carolina. Uh,
12:54
thank you. I love you with all my heart
12:57
and you will forever be my home. and the
13:00
the opportunities,
13:02
the blessings, and just the things I've
13:04
been able to experience here. Uh I
13:06
wouldn't have got this at any other
13:08
place. And I'm so glad I got to be be
13:12
here 4 years. I'm so glad that and so
13:14
appreciate that you guys were able just
13:16
to embrace me as you know, this kid,
13:18
this energetic kid from Nomi Falls and I
13:21
appreciate you. I just appreciate y'all
13:22
so much. So, it's time to the last time
13:26
you see me.
13:36
Ladies and gentlemen, I got number
13:38
seven.
13:41
I got one more thing. I got one more
13:43
thing. I know y'all on my side, but I
13:46
really, really hope to see the D
13:47
standing here for a long, long time.
13:57
And thank you so much for your
13:58
attendance tonight and all season long.
14:00
We look forward to seeing you here back
14:03
for the 2026 2027 Carolina basketball
14:06
