Power Book 2, Ghost Season, Season 4
0:05
I'm trying to use my ominous voice. Because you never, right? You just never know when you watch this series what to expect
0:14
The pivots, the angles, the turns, the murder, the scandal, the betrayal
0:21
It all plays out on this one series. Tracy G, every week you would come into the studio and talk about the last episode
0:28
Would you do the honors? Yo, you're not lying at all. I have to say, I'm never going to be an advocate for overconsumption
0:36
But when it comes to this series, when it comes to this universe, the way it has me in a chokehold, the addiction is so real
0:44
It's like a virus I'm not mad that I caught and I don't mind giving to other people
0:48
because you said it, Sway, the scandal, the rivalries, the shocking cliffhangers
0:55
and the fact that there are so many talented young actors who are part of this series
1:00
just make it so easy to recommend to anyone. And so we have the entire cast of Power 2, Ghost
1:08
and I gotta say, bro, the grief as well as the feeding
1:12
the grieving and feeding I have for this end of the series is crazy
1:16
but we have the entire cast here to break it all down. Give them a round of applause
1:20
Michael's not here right now, but the other ones are. Let me name some names
1:27
We got my man Gianni is right here. Yo, yo, yo. Yeah, over yo
1:32
Michael's running a little late. He'll be here. Okay, over yo Gianni right here
1:36
Okay, okay. We got Latoya right here. Latoya, what up? Okay, all right
1:41
We got Alex right here. What's up, Alex? He's in the building
1:46
Okay, we got the triple threat himself, the one and only Woody McClain
1:50
What up, what up, what up, what up? He's going to freestyle. He's going to freestyle
1:54
I got you. I got you. He came up here when he was Bobby Brown or something. Yeah, I remember that
1:58
Good old days. Good old days. Black Boy Joy, remember we sang that
2:02
Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. I think we started that, right? Y'all started. We amplified it. Exactly
2:08
Y'all made it a hot line. We made it a hot song. That's it. You remember that, right
2:11
Bars. Okay. Bars. Yeah. Lavelle Adam Gray is here What up man
2:17
I will say A couple of you I was familiar with I feel like Alex you were in the Fosters
2:24
Were you in the Fosters or who was it You was in the Fosters
2:28
I did not know that Oh that's crazy Ain't that crazy And then my friend Daphne Clark was in the Fosters as well
2:36
So I was watching the show And when I saw you guys get these
2:40
All of you I was thinking what a great ensemble of rising
2:46
stars you know which isn't always easy to it's not always cohesive
2:52
in that situation and you guys sustained it and you played these characters so well when I saw
2:58
Gianni I kind of didn't like him right I was like let's do this sneaky
3:03
I know this is the last season but I'm curious you guys have all done
3:08
work before how do you assess this journey that you've had? For me, I think it was just like
3:12
the biggest blessing of all time. What show has this much of an impact
3:17
on culture, on just everything? No other show has this much pull on Instagram
3:25
It's all over Twitter every time an episode airs. I rarely see that with any other shows
3:29
I'm just grateful for this journey and it was just like an amazing four or five years of my life
3:34
It's just going to be something I look back at and just appreciate every day of my life. Wow
3:37
How is your life? Latoya how's your life changed just during the show drastically
3:43
like for real like I feel like I can't really go anywhere
3:48
without being recognized and it just feels good to feel like like you said we've made an impact on the culture
3:54
we're a part of a show that our roots were was power and that's a hit show
4:00
that was my favorite show so to be a part of this for me is just a blessing
4:04
wow congratulations yeah man they sound real humble right now I love this man
4:09
We are humble. Okay, cool. Wait till we get off air, though. Where's my assistant
4:15
Alex, now you were in Dinner Feeds. Yes. Okay. And that was with O'Shea Jackson Jr., right, in 50 Cent
4:26
Yeah. Right? Did y'all connections start there? Yeah, actually. When I got the audition for the movie, I didn't know who was going to be in it
4:35
because it had pretty much no description other than a film. So when I go and I audition for it
4:42
50 walked into my audition and basically gave it to me on the spot, and that's where our connection started
4:47
because I didn't even know that he was a part of it. So I'm like, sir, what are you doing here
4:51
What are you doing? You're messing us up. So from there, yeah, it just pretty much grew
4:58
I loved Power, and I always knew that he was a part of it, so I was like, I love working with him
5:04
Let's do it again. And so how does a person come in? Like I would imagine that's everybody's dream for the producer or director to come in and say you got the part
5:12
Like how did he say it? What did he say? I auditioned once and then how did it happen
5:20
I think he just literally came in. He was just literally came in and I was confused
5:25
I was like, oh, I'm sorry. I was confused. I was like, what are you doing here
5:30
And then he's like, yeah, I got a good feeling about this one
5:34
You're one. Yeah, and from there, they just basically ask my availability
5:39
Hello. Damn. Yeah. That must be nice. Come on. Where are you
5:43
Yeah. It's like rubbing 50. Everybody's like, hey, thank you, 50. Come on, man
5:50
That man has really, once he invested in making films, I mean, if you list off a litany of
5:57
stars that have come through that 50-cent umbrella, it's remarkable from the time, even
6:03
when he was doing those films independently to now. You guys, now, Woody, you acted opposite of some really major players in your day
6:12
Regina King, Jonathan Majors, the list goes on, right? On now. But you started, you know, you started as, what did you start as
6:21
As a dancer, an actor, or all? What was it? I started off as a dancer first
6:26
Okay. It was dancing first, and then it was Vine videos, and then from Vine it went to acting
6:31
It went to acting. Yeah, yeah. You know Fly Tye and those guys? Of course
6:36
Yeah. Fly Tye, that's my guy. That's your guy? Yeah, yeah, yeah. My guy. I've been letting him know I'm from B-Boy culture
6:41
He'll just throw names out there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Fly's dope. Fly's dope. It's hard to fly
6:45
Chris Brown as well, right? You worked with Chris Brown. What was it for you playing this role, though
6:51
How was this? I mean, you was a really mean character in here. Nah. Kane is not mean
6:56
I think he just protects his family. So I think it's like a, for me personally, I don't know if because I'm biased
7:01
because I play Kane, but I think he's a sweetheart. I just think he just wants the best for his family
7:07
What you about to say? I'm biased. Kane's mean. You know what I mean
7:11
He's one of those nicknames with me, bro. Yeah, no, I get what you're saying, though
7:14
Yeah, yeah. I just think he don't like nobody coming in from the outside
7:18
because he was raised and taught family first. And then you got somebody like Tariq that comes
7:23
You know what? I'm getting bad. I'm fired up. You know what
7:28
You shot the scene already, y'all. That's all right. It's over with. But that's how it is a little bit in dance culture, too
7:37
When you get your crews, you know, style elements or whatever crew you a part of
7:42
it's that type of loyalty, too, that's there. How does that apply to your everyday life
7:47
Wait, what was the question? You know, what characteristics of Kane that are similar to being a B-boy
7:53
apply to your everyday life? All I can say is you came with the questions. The questions
7:57
You know, here's the thing. Let me say this. I like y'all. That's good. Right
8:01
And I like your story. Y'all went from buying to doing web series to now you're here
8:09
Got to celebrate that. For sure. Okay? Before they ain't asking you shit, but your controversy
8:16
Yeah. Right? It's just coming. Right, right, right. For sure. For sure
8:20
For sure. So it's a good time. I personally just want to get to know who y'all are
8:25
Who are the people behind the characters? Well I think Kane allowed me to really love my real family more Because I such an introvert I just like to be by myself I like to be alone But playing Cain and seeing how important his family was to him it made me realize how important my family is to me
8:41
And we're all getting older, too, you know what I mean? So anytime my mom or dad calls, I'm like picking up the phone real fast
8:46
because I just don't know. Wow. Yeah, yeah. I don't want to get it like, I don't want to go up
8:51
Because I'm going to get emotional. Give him some tissue. Yeah, give him some tissue, man
8:55
Ladies, I'm in here crying, ladies. I'm tearing up. His answer was so heartfelt
9:00
I'm just like, I got a Rolex now. Life's good, man. You are so pretty
9:05
I can't. You're great. Lavelle, I mentioned web series. You've done that, right? Yeah
9:12
Okay. What I like about social media, you mentioned Vine and web series
9:17
These formats weren't available not too long ago to make it. So if you're somebody who's a rising star who thinks, you know
9:25
I want to go to Hollywood and audition and land on these sets, You might not always be able to do that, right
9:31
But there's things you can do in between to work your way up to that
9:34
So to the up-and-coming thespians, what advice would you give to them
9:38
to make sure they tap into these other verticals in order to get exposure
9:44
First of all, well, before I say anything, can we just talk about the fact that we're on Sway in the Morning right now
9:49
That's okay. You don't understand. You're trying to say it. A boy, speaking from my own perspective, I'm from Toronto
9:58
You got to, like, I was laying, there were times where I was like, I was constantly watching
10:04
Sway in the morning, just like on my laptop, just like, like, I'm going to be there one day
10:08
So I'm here. I'm about to go crazy. I seen Heather B here. Like, you know what I'm saying
10:12
Like, Lupe Fiasco had the number one freestyle on this joint. Like, I memorized every word
10:17
I'm about to go crazy. But like, yes, I do. But like, no, let's keep it real
10:24
Sway, you got to make him freestyle. Wait, wait, hold up. Hold up, y'all
10:28
Put your headphones on. Yeah, yeah. Karaoke King right here. What we doing
10:33
Get your volume right? Your volume right? Oh, my volume right. Throw that beat on, DB
10:37
Throw that beat on. Yo, what we got? Okay. Yeah. Come on, LaBelle Adam Gray, a.k.a. Drew
10:44
Yeah. You got the R, son? Welcome to Sway in the Morning. We say Sway in the Morning
10:50
You know I'm yawning. I'm never stolen. I'm never really falling. Coming, coming, coming
10:55
Like I'm from the shot. But you know whenever I stay Yeah, it's my..
10:59
We got you back! Making dreams come true every day, baby. Let's do it
11:09
Yo, but to answer your question... He doesn't answer the question! To answer your question
11:16
my dad told me when I was younger, the more you do, the more you can do. And the more you put yourself out there
11:22
the more that you allow yourself to work and be in that environment and to challenge yourself as an artist
11:29
the more you stretch and the more you'll grow. Woody's a testament to that. Watching this man grow from a day
11:34
he's always been able to perfect his artist and his craft in different spaces and master that
11:40
So I learn from you every day. And I would say for myself, saying yes to opportunities
11:46
being open, saying yes, that was something that really I held on to
11:50
And I was like, yeah, I won't do every single thing, But I'll make sure that
11:55
I'll say yes to an opportunity Because it's what God leads you to I like that man
12:01
I like how you didn't fall You didn't backslide on that freestyle either
12:05
Give a little eight A little four Gave us a two and a half
12:11
It was a strong two and a half A lot of people come up here
12:17
We don't have the greatest of the great Gianni He's calling you out baby
12:23
They've been up here. Who's your favorite rapper? Not your favorite, but every other favorite rapper has been up here
12:30
So I respect that. Appreciate you, man. Appreciate you. I want to ask y'all a question because Method Man, our good friend Method Man
12:37
you know, is on the show as well. He said something really interesting, and Tracy and I were talking about it
12:44
when he just performed at Summer Jam and said, I'm not going to do this again. The generation gap is too big
12:49
Perhaps the crowd wasn't reacting or not. So the crowd is probably y'all demographic in terms of age bracket
12:56
What do you suggest? I'll start maybe with you, Gianni, and then we go down the line. What kind of artists as incredible and magnificent and phenomenal
13:03
and legendary as a Method Man or a Red Man, for your generation
13:07
what could artists do to kind of latch on or become a part of your conversation
13:14
your lexicon, even if they're old school? How can they stay connected to this generation
13:18
I just think the sound Gets different so fast now So it's just harder to keep up
13:25
And then if you're doing something To stay relevant And just stay with the sound
13:30
It feels fraudulent So it just feels like it's hard To always keep up
13:36
You gotta be on TikTok I don't know, I think just stay true to you
13:41
Method Man's a GOAT, he's a legend So I'm like, don't try and just
13:45
Stay with the trends I say just be you and then whatever happens, happens What do you think, Alex? I saw you nodding
13:51
I think the same thing I was going to say. The whole TikTok, let's go viral on TikTok thing
13:55
That's just not, it's not even authentic. So everyone's going to see through it
14:00
Well, you see what happened. There was a quick time where TikTokers were getting these movie roles and all this stuff
14:06
And then the studio saw that they're not actually bringing any talent or people to see them
14:12
So they're like, oh, well, let's just go back to real actors. So I think that'll all eventually just come back around
14:17
the talent will always supersede everything else. Y'all agree with that? Yeah, because I feel like people are going to appreciate who they like
14:27
Like my parents, so Aaliyah and Britney Spears and people that have been in the game for forever
14:33
that's who I grew up listening to and I still love to this day. So it's like I feel like there are some younger people that know
14:40
It's just whoever their parents passed down to them sort of thing. But I do feel like it's one of the laws of power, right
14:47
to adapt with the times and always grow and change. So I look at Will Smith
14:51
I look at people like even the Jay-Z, Michael Jackson, Prince. They always adapt with the times
14:57
You have Prince that has the 80s sound. You have Prince that has the 90s sound. You have Michael Jackson that has his sound
15:02
When hip-hop came in, he started adopting more of those things. So I think when I think about a Method Man, when I think about a Nas
15:09
when I think about Lupe, when I think about people who I really admire and respect, and when I see them jump on a feature with K-Dot
15:15
or I see him, you know, J. Cole, that is bridging the gap right there, you know
15:19
You have people that, you know, you really respect lyrically that jump on and battle
15:23
and have a little bit of competition with each other and it's fun, you know? That brings relevancy
15:27
and at the same time, it shows that you're willing to adapt and change
15:31
Yeah. I like that. Yeah, and I was telling my boyfriend this, I feel like everybody should have someone young
15:36
on their team that, like, knows what's going on because they do have a say
15:41
in, like, how you can switch things up. Being true to yourself, but also like getting with the times because right like you can't just say 2001 forever
15:50
it's like you know let me come in here in these baggy jeans give them a white tank for the one
15:55
time you're gonna have to switch up a little a little bit sometimes you're really shitting on
15:59
my era right now but i'm gonna let you rock you know sometimes you just gotta switch it up but
16:04
like in the way that she said one time you started describing me
16:10
She was describing me. No, you got to switch it up for one time
16:14
D-Sway. D-Sway. D-Sway. D-Sway. I'm good? I'm good? Yes. Okay, cool. Good, great
16:21
Cool. We got our resident young guy right there, Lonnie Light. Lonnie, stand up
16:27
This is our... Peace, peace. How y'all are here? He's our token young guy right there. Okay
16:32
By the way, citizens, the cast, this weekend, Saturday, after dusk, the whole entire Empire State Building is going to be lit up in red
16:44
in honor of this season of Power Book 2, Gold Season 4
16:50
That's on the 8th, Saturday. But the staff, the cast is going to visit when
16:56
Tomorrow? Tomorrow at 6th, they're going to be in front of the Empire State Building if you're in the tri-state area
17:01
Tracy, you want to jump in? Yeah absolutely I got to say I always have an extended version of episodes because the conversations that happen are always so long And when you think about power you mentioned the laws of power Right
17:15
And there's a way that you can be responsible and irresponsible with power
17:20
And it depends on the person. It can depend on the mood. It depends on the era for you guys, because power can be a byproduct of extra visibility
17:30
right power can be a byproduct of more money of fame how do you guys remain responsible of your
17:37
power and at this point in your career have you been tempted to be irresponsible of your power
17:42
however y'all see it with putting your ego in the driver's seat i will say my parents my family and
17:48
my real friends i don't have yes men around me they will check me so quick especially my mama so
17:54
So there's no way I'm not abusing power. And I also just like, okay
18:01
I mean, we all are very firm believers of God, but I know the same way as fast as he's blessed you with it
18:07
you start acting a fool, he'll take it right away. So I'm moving in my purpose by faith
18:12
and I'm remaining humble because this is what I want, and I want to continue it
18:17
Latoya. I act a fool. I have fun. You gotta be in the clothes
18:23
You gotta be in the clothes. Right. No, honestly, like, I really, the reason I do this is because I love laughing and I love having fun
18:31
So none of the other stuff really means anything to me. Obviously, you have to move in a certain way to advance your career to be able to keep doing it for longer
18:39
So there is a certain persona you have to do, you know. But I really just do this because I just love what I do and I love laughing and enjoying my life
18:45
So I don't have any of it. Like, I'm not here to be powerful or famous or this or that
18:50
I do like the money, though. But, yeah, it's just kind of how I move
18:53
But you also love the craft. For sure. And it shows. For sure
18:58
What about y'all, the men over here? I mean, for me personally, I got success later on in life
19:10
So my character was already strong. I know who I am. You know what I mean
19:13
I feel like if I would have got that success younger, my ego would have been probably crazy
19:17
If I would have got Bobby Brown when I was younger, I don't know where I would be right now
19:22
But because it came later on in life, for me, I'm just cooling
19:26
You know what I mean? I'm just living life, having fun, learning more and more about myself
19:31
and, yeah, loving others. Thank you. I appreciate it. I love y'all so much
19:35
I can't believe this is the last. I know. That is insane. It's crazy
19:39
What are y'all going to do? Right. Like, what are y'all going to do? Right
19:42
God knows, man. I don't know. Swear you got something for me. I could be the intern in the corner
19:48
Don't take his job, dude. Take his job, man. But just like it's like, you know how we always would be sad at the end of the school year
19:58
That's exactly how it feels. I think that's a great way to describe it. So you know it's coming to an end
20:04
You're not always going to have access to each other. Y'all plan to stay in? We access of all cast
20:09
Y'all plan to stay in touch with each other? I'm going Hollywood. Who is this
20:17
We have a group chat. We have a group chat. We talk all the time. We get a group chat. Good, good
20:21
I love this. Everybody here was invited to the wedding, so that means a lot
20:25
Yeah. I'm trying to see you guys when we're 90. You know what I'm saying
20:30
I'm trying to see that. Yeah, because I feel like it's not always, too
20:33
that you get so many people close to your age. Like, you know, there's a lot of casts where there's a lot of older people
20:38
and then there's one-off kid. So it's like everyone, they can't really relate with much
20:43
That's real. But all of us genuinely are family. We talk to each other
20:49
people then got to bickering people got to uh you're not gonna say this to me yeah together
20:55
like but it's all love like it's all family latoya slapped me on camera crazy damn crazy
21:01
really insane improv improv look at latoya the god-fearing latoya I am God-fearing, but I will slap somebody
21:16
I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. No, but he always says this, but he actually pulled me to the side on his coverage and
21:24
said, for my coverage, because I'm supposed to slap him, but like a fake slap. He tells me to really slap him
21:30
I said, Woody, for real? And he was like, yes. Really do it. I was like, I don't know if I should
21:35
He was like, do it. So the camera started rolling. It's time for me to slap him. Oh, my God
21:38
She put a little extra line. No, it's not. I just slapped him, and my hand was like
21:45
I don't know if it's because I was nervous because I really didn't want to slap him at all
21:50
So my hand is red. Mary's sitting on the side. Is this season one? Season one, yeah
21:54
Season one. Mary's sitting on the side because it was quiet. All you heard was a slap
21:59
And then the stunt coordinator comes over and the director comes over to me
22:03
and they're like, you're not supposed to do that. Then I was like, I'm trying not to be a snitch
22:07
because you know they already called me a snitch. I would have snitched. You would have snitched
22:11
He told me. I did. He told me to do it. And then he told them
22:16
But now he be telling everybody I slapped him. No, he told you. I be capping
22:20
You know how people be capping. I be doing it. They'll slap me
22:24
Can you imagine Mary sitting right there? Also, speaking of family, I just want to shout out my brother
22:30
Michael Rainey Jr. He's running a little late. But for him to just do it for six seasons and then bring him into this
22:35
and be the quarterback, I'm just so grateful for him he keeps us all together so he's a man I love him
22:40
shout out to Michael man he's been here before too proud of that guy man thank y'all for being here
22:46
we're so excited for you all and LaVell thank you for the kind words
22:51
I really appreciate it watching you guys and just watching you all interact
22:55
it made me think about us a little bit here at the show cause y'all were like we got sway in the morning we're sort of a cast as well
23:01
and when Latoya mentioned being a snitch I'm the snitch of the crew
23:05
I tell them I sway mostly every single day, every chance I get in real well
23:10
I'm going to happily snitch on sway. But it be shit that we don't even, not meant for air stuff
23:16
That's what I be like, are you serious? Yes, very serious about my snitch game
23:20
Gianni, when you walked in, I just felt like you're fun. Like you're the fun one of the group
23:25
Always have a laugh. If somebody comes in down, you're like, don't worry about it
23:29
it. It'll get better. Let's go. Let's keep pushing. And, you know, we all play a role for each other here, too
23:34
I was wondering, now that I know Latoya's the snitch, Gianni probably's the fun one
23:39
what are y'all roles as a group? Because even, no, not the full snitch
23:43
not the full snitch, half snitch. I feel like Latoya is such. No, I'm sure everybody plays a role in it
23:48
and you got to pull each other up sometimes on days because you walk in and you do have stuff going on at home
23:53
Or today's not your best day. You don't remember all the lines. You can't remember, you don't feel like it
23:57
Just to be honest, you don't feel like it. Who's, what role, where, off camera
24:01
if you don't mind sharing? You should say what we do. I feel like everyone can say she's like the little butterfly angel
24:13
She's like a ray of sunshine. But don't mess with her. But don't mess with Latoya
24:17
For sure. But now, Miss Alex, I learned a lot from you
24:22
I admire so much how Alex speaks up for herself. She's not timid with it
24:28
I will speak up. Well, now I'm better with it. But at first it would be kind of like timid and I would talk to her and she would just like let me know like no
24:37
Like literally stand on business like if that's how you feel speak on it I feel like I feel like Lavelle is the one that comes in with the deep questions
24:49
We going deep I'm the Aquarius of the bunch You come in hungover to work he's like why do you think we're here
25:00
I'm like I'm tired Oh my god Gianni's like a Scorpio What's your sign
25:10
I'm a Gemini It's just my birthday I'm a Scorpio Happy birthday
25:13
Thank you Happy birthday When's your birthday? May 27th May 27th Oh okay
25:18
And for you Alex What's your birthday? November 6th Okay Okay 13th
25:22
Yeah I think Yeah Woody's a mysterious one You never know genuinely
25:29
You don't know where Woody is in the world. You don't know what he's thinking. It's just like, yeah
25:33
But I think, why is that, Woody? Why do you think people think it was serious Because I don talk Yeah But I learned so much from you too I feel like people create whatever they think I thinking and I think that dope
25:46
So if y'all think I'm mysterious, cool. And I'd be really thinking about what I'm going to eat later. Oh, he is Torch
25:53
That's Torch. That's Torch. That's you. Just like y'all, these two. Yeah
25:57
What would you say, because when most people hear about, we've known 50 for years, but when most people hear about them
26:03
there's always these headlines attached to it. now that you work with him, I know you know
26:07
it's way more layers than what meets the surface. What is it that you learned
26:11
from him as a human being during this process? He's a very
26:15
strong and intelligent mentor because he gave me some game just how to be more strategic with my career
26:23
and the next steps going forward and I really appreciate him for that
26:27
Wow. What about you, Woody? I love the businessman 50. He's next level
26:35
I just got done reading his 50 Laws of Power book. Dope, man, dope
26:40
He's helping me create a show right now. So we've been going back and forth with that
26:44
Wow. Yeah, man. 50's dope. For me personally, I think he was able to bring me from, oh, that's Bobby Brown, to bringing me to, oh, you the on power
26:57
You know what I mean? So he graduated me from Bobby Brown to you the on power, and I appreciate that
27:01
So the next one, the next one I'll be. the next one people will be like oh woody you know what i mean so i appreciate him for that yeah okay
27:08
okay alex i mean i'm sure he came in your room and said you got the part yeah you know tell us
27:14
about what what you could share i agree like just in the business aspect i think he encourages
27:19
everyone to really stretch their minds and kind of like what you were saying like not just the
27:24
girl from power alex laprey alex the entrepreneur like he just really stretches your mind in so many
27:30
ways and his confidence is really something to admire too like the way he walks into a room
27:36
is ridiculous like he really owns his space and i love that about him okay okay latoya what about
27:43
you um they pretty much said they said it all okay yeah yeah i love how business savvy he is
27:50
how he has his hands properly in so many things so i admire that and that's something that i want
27:56
do as well. Okay. Gianna, you like the checks. 50 is my number one
28:00
He's the GOAT. He really is. He's taught me so much and he's shown me
28:04
so much love, like way more than any producer ever needs to. So I am eternally
28:09
grateful for that man. And he just showed me how to like, like on social media, I guess I was a little
28:13
timid at the start. And then now, like I'm like, Lil Meech, where you at
28:18
We're fighting right now. But he's taught me how to like be strategic
28:23
on social media and create buzz for the show and do stuff like that
28:27
So that's something that you will not find from any other producer, for sure
28:31
because you don't see any other producer do what he does on social media. Salute to 50 Cent
28:35
Give that man a round of applause. Look what he's created. Come on. We got Chaz from Baltimore on the line
28:40
Chaz, you still there? Chaz, what's goody? Yo, I can't believe this
28:45
This is a blessing from God. Look, man, first of all, Suede, Heather B, you know I'm a fan
28:50
Love you Heather. Love you too. The whole squad, Tracy, Mike Muse. Man, the Powerful Crew
28:54
Listen, y'all. First of all, your impact is amazing. What y'all are doing is amazing
28:58
Y'all keep doing what y'all are doing. I don't think a lot of people understand. This show is one of the best shows
29:03
It is the best show on TV, should I say. Hey, thank you, man. Tell him again. What y'all are doing
29:07
So, look, Christian, quick questions real fast. So, when y'all been, because acting is important and, you know
29:13
you're learning what y'all are doing. Being on this show, what have y'all really, like, learned being a part of
29:18
such a legendary show? We got Effie. We got Braden in there
29:22
Where's Tariq at, man? Tariq over there hustling somebody, man. Tell us what you're getting there, man
29:26
He's walking. Yeah, he's walking here. He's got no car. Yeah, he got no car
29:31
Exactly, exactly. But, yo, I'm such a fan of the show. I'm such a fan of the show, y'all
29:35
So, look, just being on that show, being an actor, understanding not overacting
29:41
Because I want to be an actor. I got a passion to be an actor. And it's like I want to move down Sheffinport and get into G's unit studios
29:47
You know what I'm saying? Hey, Chaz. What do you all think about being at? Chaz, Chaz, Chaz. What's your question
29:51
oh my question is look he's on a TED talk no listen listen being on the show what have y'all
29:59
learned just being being better with y'all craft because this is such a legendary show like how
30:03
have y'all gotten better and what have y'all learned being such on a dope show in the acting
30:08
realm like being in being do you feel like you do you say a better actor oh y'all feel like
30:13
because of the show you became a more evolved actor absolutely i mean i think i i don't really
30:19
know what I didn't learn on this show. I was super new to the game when I got to power. And so
30:24
I think it was dope to be able to do a fight scene. I've done intimate scenes. I've done
30:29
screaming at the top of my lungs. I've done crying. Like there's not one handling guns. Like
30:34
there's not one thing that I haven't done on this show that would not prepare me for future projects
30:40
to come. And also just the leadership that we've been under Courtney Kemp and 50 Cent and, you know
30:46
Brett, so many different people that had their hands in it really just like truly gave us the place to help us grow
30:56
Y'all agree with that? Absolutely. And I would say the more you do it, the more you act, the better you'll become
31:02
And the more you explore your humanity, the better you'll become as an actor
31:07
Okay. Man, that was pretty. He is the deep one, right? The ? That was my guy
31:12
That came out of nowhere. All right. Okay. I'm going to take one last caller
31:15
James, go for it, James. Yo, what's up, everybody? Sway, Heather V, Tracy D, D.B
31:21
Torts, everybody from the Power Crew. How y'all doing? Great. Good. My question for you guys is, after you guys play your characters
31:30
do you guys ever get nervous or you ever be like, damn, that's how that character is
31:35
Would you ever be afraid to meet them in person? Let's say, for example, Kane is a dark side kind of person
31:41
Would you be nervous to meet them or anything? Good question. If you met your character in person, would you be nervous
31:48
What would you think? How would you respond? I'm going to the club with my character. I'd be excited to meet Drew because he could teach me how to dress
31:56
Okay. That's fly. I like that. I don't think I'll kick it with Kane, though
32:01
It's too much. You get pissed at you for no reason. Yeah, I'm cool
32:05
I don't need that energy around. Look at my sister. Yeah. That's the homie
32:10
What you talking about? You tripping. You know what I mean? What about y'all
32:15
Yeah, that's going to be a no for me. Solid no. She's shy, Steve boy
32:22
You play her really well, though. Thank you. I really appreciate that. Absolutely
32:27
I feel like I would probably just give her a hug. The butterfly hug
32:35
The butterfly hug. Yeah, empathy, empathy. Nobody really has empathy for Diana right now
32:43
And we shouldn't. Shut it. What can they expect this season? Anybody
32:50
Sell this show. I mean, it's the craziest one yet, that's for sure
32:53
It is. We're going out with a bang. We're going out with a bang
32:58
Going out with a bang. Going out with a bang. Well said, man. If you want Game of Thrones and Ozark in succession all in one show, watch Power Man
33:07
Holy cow. Wow. That was crazy. Wow. One stop shop. There you go. This guy Lavelle, he's awesome, man
33:12
Hey, man, I want to thank you all for being here today. It's an honor to have you on this show
33:17
I appreciate it. Thank you. You know, honor to have you back. Man, thank you for having us
33:22
Thank you. Thank you for sharing your story. If you grew up watching us, you know, it means a lot to us
33:26
That meant we played a role in your development. Absolutely. And hopefully we added to your desire to do what it is that you do
33:33
Absolutely. And I hope you enjoyed yourself up here today. I certainly did
33:37
All right, fun. You had a good night. Give it up for the cast of Power Book 2
33:41
Season four. This goes in the journal. Yes, indeed. Make sure you watch it this Friday
33:48
It's going down. We'll be talking about it every single week. Thank you all for coming by today
33:53
All right. Anything y'all want to say in closing? It's lit. I'm just so happy to be here all by now. Yes
33:58
Let me help you. Heather, help me out with this. Give me the beat. The entire cast of Power, you are officially citizens
