Study Process Sound Familiar?

If you're working on your CPA exams, tell me if this sounds familiar
0:03
You open a new lesson in your review course and you start the video lecture
0:07
Five to ten minutes in, you realize that you've zoned out or you're just not understanding
0:11
the material, so you start the video over. Now this might happen five to ten times before you get to the point where you finish the
0:17
video and feel like you understood it. So what was supposed to be a 30 minute video ended up taking you about an hour and a half
0:23
to two hours. Then you attempt to answer some of the practice problems or the simulations, but you realize
0:29
you still don't know how to answer those problems, so you go back to watch the video
0:34
lecture again. So it's easy to see how a study plan can quickly spiral out of control
0:40
People fall behind and feel completely overwhelmed because an innocent 30 minute video lecture
0:46
turned into a three to four hour struggle that makes you question your sanity
0:50
And that's not even considering trying to master ongoing retention and then test day
0:55
strategies like time management or managing exam anxiety. Now the worst thing that can happen is that you spend months, maybe even years, with these
1:05
exams hanging around your neck. You're putting in all this hard work, you're sacrificing all your precious free time on
1:11
your nights and weekends studying for these exams, but it is just not translating on test day
1:18
My name is Nate, I run SuperfastCPA, where we help CPA candidates solve this exact issue
1:23
For example, there is a very simple five minute exercise that you can do for any new
1:28
lesson before you watch the video lecture for that lesson that will make the video then
1:33
make ten times more sense after doing this quick exercise. You'll also know exactly what you need to learn from that lesson in the same context
1:43
that you'd actually be seeing it on exam day. So just knowing this five minute exercise will save you hours on a daily basis
1:50
Now I'm going to be doing a quick little training class the next few days where I will
1:54
teach you this five minute exercise as well as several other high leverage strategies
1:59
completely for free, so click this video at any time to register for that
2:03
Now let's go back to the biggest mistake. So the number one biggest mistake is simply a lack of strategy as you execute your daily
2:12
study process. It's like trying to chop down a tree with pure brute strength without ever taking the
2:18
time to just stop and sharpen the axe, which would make the tree fall down much faster
2:24
much sooner with a lot less wasted effort. Now you can't blame people for not knowing this stuff because while the review courses
2:30
present the actual exam material, they don't teach you any of this strategy stuff
2:35
Going back to that example, most people just assume that if you don't understand a lesson
2:40
your only real tool is to just keep watching the video lecture until you do understand it
2:46
So in my CPA journey, I made this exact same mistake. I spent my first three months studying eight hours a day, very similar to the struggle
2:53
I just described, but I was working hard, I was putting in the time, yet I still went
2:59
in and failed that first section. By that time I had started my first public accounting job, so I had very limited time
3:05
to study, but when I saw FAR in person that first time, I had two distinct aha moments
3:13
or light bulbs go off as to how to study differently. So simply out of necessity, I was only spending two hours a day with my review course, but
3:20
I was studying much differently. Then I started passing sections. I ended up going four for four over just a few months
3:28
So me, with my same brain, the first three months studied eight hours a day to get one
3:34
failing score. The next three months I pass all four exams only studying two hours a day
3:39
So nothing changed with my raw IQ or my brain power. It obviously came down to the strategies I was using, how I actually studied each day
3:49
Like I said, we now help CPA candidates pass their CPA exams much more efficiently by implementing
3:55
this strategic approach, which I refer to as the Gordon Ramsey approach, because it
4:01
consists of six key ingredients. When someone is doing all six of these strategies in their study process and they're doing them
4:09
how we teach you to do them, it is honestly hard to fail
4:12
Now I mentioned I'm doing a free little training class the next few days where I will teach
4:16
you these six key ingredients and how to do them. You can apply these strategies to any review course
4:22
It doesn't matter what review course you're using. Now this training will be in webinar format over the next few days, so to learn these
4:29
strategies for free, you just need to choose one of the upcoming times and then actually
4:35
show up to the session. We don't teach this stuff for free anywhere else
4:39
Also each session, because it's a webinar, it has limited spots. So click the video now to go to the registration page and reserve your spot on one of the upcoming times
4:50
Now if you're skeptical or if you're wondering if this will work for you, you be the judge
4:55
Attend one of the sessions and if you don't have several aha moments, several light bulbs
5:01
going off as I walk you through the strategies, feel free to leave at any time
5:05
Now as I said before, these same strategies, in fact this same training, has helped thousands
5:11
of CPA candidates improve their own study process, such as Coral. So Coral had a new baby, she was extremely busy at work, and she was starting to feel
5:20
a lot of pressure at work because she'd been in the position for a few years, she'd worked
5:25
on the CPA exams, but it just wasn't coming together. She saw one of our ads just like this one, attended one of these same free trainings
5:32
she implemented the strategies, and now she's done with her CPA exams. And if it worked for me, it can work for anyone
5:39
Thank you so much for just putting this out there and basically changing my life, because
5:46
if it wasn't for that ad, I guarantee you I wouldn't be a CPA today
5:51
Or there's Ben. When it came down to it, he just did not want to sacrifice his evenings with his family
5:58
to study for the CPA exams. He came across one of these same free trainings, saw that there was a different way to still
6:05
get it done, and now he's done with his CPA exams. So yeah, I basically did that for all four tests, and I passed all four of them, I think
6:13
I started in November of 2019, and I passed my fourth test, Reg, like in February of 2020
6:25
As soon as I passed, yeah, it was like a super condensed period of time
6:28
Or there's Jade. Before she even started the study process, she looked around online to try and find a
6:33
proven study plan to follow. She saw one of these same ads, saw the same training, implemented the strategies, and
6:41
passed her exams over a few months on the first try. Sounds like you crushed the exams
6:48
Somehow, I passed all four on my first try. And you did it in two months? Yes
6:56
So, if you would like to learn these six strategies so that you can save yourself time, money
7:02
stress, and frustration by learning how to be much more efficient with your study time
7:07
click this video now, register for an upcoming session, and I will see you there
