Hi, welcome to SuperfastCPA. If you're watching this, you are probably new to the site or maybe
0:05
you've never even heard of SuperfastCPA. So in this video, I just want to give you an overview
0:12
SuperfastCPA, our business is basically about two things. We teach a study approach that can
0:20
be applied to any review course that involves the three key elements of making sure you pass
0:29
when you go and take exams. And then the other thing is our study supplements. We provide study
0:35
supplements that are meant to be, they're the only study supplements available that are really
0:40
meant to be used from a smartphone. And we now have the iPhone app. So everything is contained
0:47
in the in the app. It's very easy to access. It's very smooth, it works very well. We'll get
0:54
get to that in a minute. But the study approach that we teach, we teach it for free from our
0:59
study training webinars. We run those most days each week. You can find the links to that on this
1:05
page. Basically, you just want to pick a session that works for you where you can be, where you
1:11
can attend the session on a regular computer, either a laptop or a desktop. You just don't
1:17
ideally, you don't want to watch it on mobile because it's a, you know, it's a webinar. And then
1:23
at the end of the webinar, we also give you our a free copy of our CPA flashcards. And there's a
1:30
reason for that. But I just want to talk about the the approach to studying. Now, like I said
1:35
you can apply this to any review course. And it basically involves three components. The first one
1:44
is retention. So retention, everyone knows that that is basically on test day, it's going to come
1:51
down to your retention. You've studied all these things. Do you remember them well enough to
1:56
actually go in and pass? Now, the problem with the traditional study approach is that, you know
2:03
there's there's an ungodly amount of information, especially for FAR and REG that you're trying to
2:08
learn in a short period of time. And what happens with most candidates is, you know, you study
2:14
chapter one, then you study chapter two, then you study chapter three. And chapter one is now a few
2:20
days back, chapter two is now a few days back as you go forward. And then you know, the first half
2:26
of what you studied was several weeks ago. And you haven't re-reviewed that at all. So the most
2:33
common thing is, you try to do this big final review, you get close to your study date, and you
2:40
realize you've forgotten everything that you've studied, or most of what you studied. And so our
2:47
approach has a built-in re-review, so that as time goes on, you're you are continually getting better
2:55
at everything you've studied. Instead of each thing, there's just this big drop-off, because
3:01
it's now, okay, it's a week since the first five chapters, now it's been two weeks since the first
3:06
five chapters. The other big advantage is that you, we teach you to do a shorter main study session
3:17
Because again, almost every review course, there is so much information to learn, that when you put in
3:25
your study dates into the, you know, the study planning part of their software, it usually spits
3:31
out that you need to study three to four, maybe even five hours a day, to pass the sections, you know
3:38
within a reasonable time. Like, whether it's five weeks or eight weeks, whatever you've put your
3:43
parameters in, it's usually between three to five hours a day that you're supposed to study. And the
3:49
big problem that people run into is, you are just literally too busy for that. It doesn't, a dedicated
3:56
four-hour study session where you can just sit and focus on your materials at a desk, that just
4:02
does not happen day after day for most candidates. When I was studying, you know, I studied the normal
4:08
way for three months. It was before I started my job in public accounting, so I studied for the
4:14
five hours a day. It's really hard to stay focused for that long, especially on CPA material, because
4:20
it's so dense and such technical information. Anyways, I ended up failing that section. Then I had
4:26
started my job in public accounting, but I wanted to pass more than ever. So I thought, okay, I have
4:35
like two hours max in the morning, that's if I wake up super early, that I can actually sit down and
4:41
study with my review materials. So how am I going to use that two hours? My study planner says I need
4:47
to be hitting four or five hours a day. How am I going to get what I need done in two hours instead
4:53
of four to five hours? And I just switched to some of my own ideas for studying, and I ended up passing
5:02
all four sections within three months. So three months total after switching to just kind of my
5:09
own ideas, just common sense ideas about studying, instead of literally trying to learn every word
5:16
from every video lecture, every chapter. There's ways that you can figure out, okay, from this
5:22
chapter, here are the two or three things that the questions really ask about, and the rest of the
5:28
stuff isn't ever really reflected in the questions. So I don't need to spend a bunch of time memorizing
5:33
that. Anyways, the first thing is retention. We teach you how to, again, increase retention over
5:41
time. The second thing is the study methods that you use. Another huge thing that's really just a
5:47
waste of time is there's passive study methods, and then there's active study methods. So you need to
5:52
be spending your time on these active study methods. And again, the traditional approach is
5:59
most people spend 80 to 90 percent of their time on these passive study methods. It's too easy to
6:05
zone out. It's very low impact to your memory, both short-term and especially long-term
6:12
And so these active study methods, again, which we'll teach you on the training webinar, this
6:18
forces new information into your brain and makes it much easier to remember, and it's just more
6:23
effective. It also happens to be much faster. So again, we teach you how to utilize the study
6:30
methods, and then how to leverage time to your advantage. You can cut your study sessions in half
6:37
If your study plan says that you need to study four to five hours a day, we can show you how
6:42
to get done what you need to get done each day in a two-hour study session. I keep wanting to
6:48
go into all that, but we have a very clear format to follow. We teach you the approach from start
6:56
to finish. So again, the three things are retention, study methods, and time itself. The absolute best
7:02
place to start, especially if you have all four sections left, is to register for a session of
7:08
that study training. And I will walk you through the approach that I used. Again, I went from
7:15
spending three months to fail one section to then, while working full-time, passing all four
7:22
in a three-month period. You can apply the study methods to any review course you're using
7:29
and I promise you, especially if you've struggled at all or if you're a little overwhelmed with how
7:35
much information there is to learn, you will find this study training extremely helpful. So just
7:40
pick a session where you can, first of all, actually show up. The training doesn't do you any good if
7:47
you sign up for it and then don't attend, but so that you can be there on just a desktop or a
7:54
laptop, just a regular computer. And again, you will also get a free copy of our CPA flashcards
8:00
and there's a reason for that, and we'll kind of show you how that fits into the study approach
8:06
All right, so we will see you on the training
