A statement from the government forces on Monday said that after the Presidential Leadership Council launched a military operation dubbed "Dawn of Yemen," government troops advanced towards the Dhubab area of the southwestern province of Taiz from multiple directions and reclaimed several positions. Also on Monday, Houthi‑run Al-Masirah TV cited a Houthi military source denying that government forces had made advances in the Dhubab area, saying such information was completely false. The Houthi group said fighting for control of the Bab al-Mandab Strait is still ongoing. The government forces also said on the day that they had recaptured Mocha, the Red Sea port city in Taiz, after heavy fighting with the Houthis. The Houthi group has not responded to this claim. According to earlier information, the group took control of Mocha on Sept 10. [Restrictions: No access Chinese mainland]
