Wearing national team jerseys and carrying Turkish flags, supporters filled areas equipped with giant screens to watch the match together. Municipalities and private organizations offered tea, soup and simit to fans, while some supporters painted their faces in Türkiye's national colors. Large crowds gathered at locations including the July 15 National Garden in Esenler, Yedikule Fortress in Fatih, Dolmabahçe Park and Mihrabat Grove in Beykoz. The public viewing events created a festive atmosphere across the city as fans rallied behind the national team. Co-hosted by the US, Mexico and Canada, the 2026 FIFA World Cup began on June 11 and will feature 48 nations competing through July 19.
