Port Sudan, Sudan - May 27, 2026 Sudanese officials, diplomats and performers gather at the Chinese Embassy in Port Sudan on May 27, 2026, celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Sudanese Acrobatic Troupe. The troupe was founded in 1971 when Sudan sent 50 children to China for three years of specialized training in Wuhan, returning in 1974 to become the first acrobatic troupe in Africa and the Arab world.
