The Israeli military said sirens sounded across parts of northern Israel following two consecutive waves of missile fire and that air defense systems were activated to intercept incoming threats. The attack came hours after an Israeli strike in Beirut. US President Donald Trump previously said he was “perturbed” by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s position of "constantly fighting" with Lebanon.
