Prince Harry steps down from African charity after abuse scandal.

The Duke of Sussex, 41, is no longer a trustee of African Parks, which in May 2025 acknowledged that its rangers were involved in "human rights abuses" at a national park in the Republic of Congo. Harry first partnered with the charity in 2016 and became president of the non-profit conservation group the following year. In 2023, he was appointed to an elevated role on the board of directors. A spokesperson for the British royal said Harry was "proud of his 10 years with African Parks and fully supports the ongoing strengthening of its Board".
