This issue arises in the context of Israel's interception last Thursday of approximately 20 ships belonging to the "Steadfastness Flotilla," which aimed to break the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip, where humanitarian aid remains severely restricted. Around 175 activists of various nationalities were detained during the operation, which took place hundreds of kilometers from Gaza, off the coast of the Greek island of Crete, sparking controversy over the legality of intercepting ships in international waters.
