Nepal: Large number of vehicles stranded in Nepal’s Kathmandu due to floods and landslides.

.KATHMANDU, NEPAL - AUG. 27, 2026: A large number of vehicles were stranded on roads in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, after roads were closed due to floods and landslides. A large number of vehicles were reported to be stranded along the Kalanki-Thankot-Nagdhunga route, while the Nagdhunga-Muglin route and other major highways in the country were also reported to be closed to traffic due to floods and landslides. It had been reported that 359 people had died due to the flood in and around Nepal’s Rasuwa region, which is near the Chinese border.
