AMBULANCE IN AREADEIR AL-BALAH, GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - AUG. 24: An Israeli airstrike hit the historic Abu Salim Mosque in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip on Monday, Aug. 24, heavily damaging the building and destroying much of the mosque. Footage captured the moment of the strike, as an explosion sent a large plume of smoke over the area. Palestinians evacuated the area following the attack as debris covered nearby streets and market stalls. The strike caused extensive damage to the mosque and surrounding area, reducing sections of the building to rubble and scattering food supplies across the site. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, death toll from Israel’s ongoing war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023 currently stands at 73,422 killed and 174,401 injured.
