Gaza - August 04, 2026 Palestinians attend the funeral of 112 members of the Abu Sharia and Al-Hasayneh families in Gaza City on August 4, 2026, after civil defense teams recovered their remains from beneath the rubble of a destroyed family home. According to relatives, the victims were among more than 300 people killed when the residential building was destroyed in Israeli strikes during the war. Recovery operations, which began in mid-July after heavy machinery became available, continued for weeks before the remains were identified and buried in a mass funeral procession through Gaza City to Al-Maamadani Cemetery. Many family members are still believed to remain beneath the rubble.
